filbertway Posted 27 January 2023 Posted 27 January 2023 Nowhere near good enough, even as back up. Would be a waste of salary. If people think Barnes is gash then this lad would be torn apart by the fan base 1

FoxyLeon Posted 27 January 2023 Posted 27 January 2023 The same people claiming this would be 'Good competition for Barnes' after 3 goals in the Scottish League, are criticizing Barnes in the Premier League for 7 goals. 1
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 27 January 2023 Posted 27 January 2023 Time for me to mention again a golden rule of mine: Steer clear of players from or who play in Scotland.

That's like not sh@gging any bird who wears red regardless of how good looking she is. Off the top of my head, I could put together a great 11 and a full bench of players that came from the spl who done well in England. 3

Taken literally, the SPL doesn’t exist anymore but when it did the gulf between England and Scotland wasn’t as bad as it is now. And I don’t shag birds in red!

HybridFox Posted 28 January 2023 Posted 28 January 2023 Would take him as a back up for sure. Lookman weren't all bad was he
Weller Wing Posted 28 January 2023 Posted 28 January 2023 Get a few to get his name on the back of our shirt, then we could be a bunch of Kents 1

As I said on the Souttar thread, when Sambiasso said an Attacking Midfielder / Winger could be coming in on loan, Ryan Kent totally fits that description. With him out of contract at Rangers this summer, a loan with an option to buy, could be on. Or it could just be a wheeze by his Agent to get a better contract there. I've never been entirely persuaded by him (and I saw him a bit for Liverpool Under 21's) and quality in the the SPL has never been a great indicator for the EPL. But I guess an initial loan could be a good way of checking out his pedigree. 1

Thoughts @Sambiasso?

BKLFox Posted 28 January 2023 Posted 28 January 2023 No brainer can cover all 3 forward positions & more importantly will allow both Barnes and Tete to rest without wholesale changes behind or sticking a CM back on RW what’s not to like for a backup 🤷♂️ 1
