Pearson’s in better shape too. Covid-19 left him with rheumatoid arthritis and a heart condition that caused an irregular, often rapid, pulse. An operation in November fixed most of the problems.

Glad he is better, 12 games unbeaten in all comps would love to see him in the prem again at some point

What a great guy he is. How we miss his leadership. I still believe he crafted the team that Ranieri managed to be Champions.

I agree 100%!

The run the season before - ie. the great escape - started it all.

Adore Nige. And now starting a similar crush on @LanguedocFox dog 😍😍

I know what you mean. Big Barney was an adorable old chap but sadly I had to say goodbye to him the week before Christmas. He was 12, so he got to a good age, but I still think about him every day. As I do Nige, of course.

An operation does not fix Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Honestly it is one of life's biggest mysterys why a sizeable proportion of our fanbase has a real issue with the man.

Do they? I wasn't aware of this, hand on heart.

Oh big time yeah.

Please don't take this question as provocation, but how do you know this?

For the record, I admire the man so much, but do tire of some of the nostalgia about him, or maybe the manner of it - which is a different thing, I hope you understand.

Yeah no problem.

Saw a fair amount of it in the stand. Cucko or similar was a name branded about on him on a certain other forum.
