He comes across as a very happy man, and I’m glad Bristol City have kept faith with him - though it’s shocking that he is the third longest-serving manager in the Championship.

 

Still my favourite Citeh boss in over 65 years as a fan.

Pearson’s in better shape too. Covid-19 left him with rheumatoid arthritis and a heart condition that caused an irregular, often rapid, pulse. An operation in November fixed most of the problems. 
 

Glad he is better, 12 games unbeaten in all comps would love to see him in the prem again at some point

Absolutely love big Nige, the work he did alongside that of his backroom team, laid much of the foundations for the success we have enjoyed. 
 

what I love about him is that he really does take on a project, both times he was appointed here, he inherited a mess and not only improved things on the pitch but also off it. The job he is doing at Bristol City seems very similar to his second stint with us. I have no doubt he can be /has been a prickly character in the past but I think if you knuckle down and work with him, I have no doubt he is probably one off the best man managers in the game. 
 

I very much doubt we would have won the league had Nigel stayed as Manager but also there is no way that would have happened without him laying the foundations. I loved having him as Manager as you always felt that not only the team but the whole fabric of the club was in good hands with him in charge.

Football elitists. For me you can’t beat the bond a manager creates with a fan base like Pearson did, I had 100% faith that every decision was made with the clubs best interests at heart.

I know what you mean. Big Barney was an adorable old chap but sadly I had to say goodbye to him the week before Christmas. He was 12, so he got to a good age, but I still think about him every day. As I do Nige, of course.

Lovely man. I had 10 minutes talking with him on the afternoon before the away game at Burnley in the great escape season. The players and management were gathering to get on the coach and I had just picked up my tickets for the Burnley match when I bumped in to him. I had a photo with him and then just chatted about taking my 87 year old Dad ( now gone) and my nephew who was over from Paris to the game at Turf Moor and he spoke about the value of family etc and then said they would win for my Dad who had been going to City since 1946. No need for him to give me his time but he did, absolute legend of a man and not a bad manager either.

Every Leicester manager after Nigel Pearson stands on his impressively broad shoulders. He essentially built our club. I dread to think where Leicester City would be now without his ethos of respect and self-responsibility. He truly is a prince amongst men.

Yeah no problem.

Saw a fair amount of it in the stand. Cucko or similar was a name branded about on him on a certain other forum.
