Aggregate 55-60m with the sale of Bilal and I now suspect any incomings will be limited to 1/2 loan deals.

 

The sale of Mads was expected, Bilal less so - but we have only really moved on Coady from the bombsquad.


The number of sales with no outfield incomings implies fairly big PSR issues that we have had to address - worse than we suspected. I think many of the fans are coming around to realise promotion now, this season, will be a very remote possibility.

I think most fans now realise that promotion in the next 10-15 years will be a very remote possibility. There is one way this club is heading and it probably hasn't hit the low point yet. Every year in the championship the gap gets bigger and bigger.

Not only the fees we have received but we have freed up a substantial amount on weekly wages - not naive enough to think we needed to but so far we've only added a reserve keeper who is probably on £30k a week.

Give them the benefit of the doubt, they were probably aching to bring in a couple of 30+ players on handsome wages and long contracts but knew they'd get ridiculed.

There’s no doubt that Rudkin is a big part of the problem but he’s one slice of the pizza. Feels like at games the owner gets a pass. Ultimately it’s down to the owner. He’s responsible for this. Chant Rudkin out etc but it’s not all down to him and the others just get a free pass. The only way the owner might sell is if we go down again because then it becomes really difficult for him to make any kind of money from us surely.
