let's say you'd be burning it!

£5000 without a second thought…

would be easier if I knew it was going to charity

Honest answer, probably wouldn't go north of £100, and even then I'd regret it as we crash down the following season.

Would pay much more than that to get Nigel Pearson back in charge though.

If we could buy our place in the league this season, we'd only go down next year. This squad needs an overhaul, which will come with relegation, as we have too many arrogant players here!

I think we would do much better in a rebuild with PL level money for the likes of Barnes, Maddison, Castagne etc. With 100 mil or so to spend and a fresh new hungry squad i think we would stay up next year.

Sadly we're most likely going to go down and get underpaid for our best talent and also struggle to attract better talent as well.

I get where the OP is coming from though. I've been surprised myself at the people who've put money on us going down, to compensate for the depression. But maybe I should have done the same, as I've thought our squad wasn't all it was cracked up to be. By not placing the bet I've effectively chucked money away.  I just wouldn't like to bet against my own team.

That's true but if we are still a PL club next season, you know they'd want to keep hold of a lot of the squad and so it'll be largely the same issue. I don't see us staying up and selling our assets without being forced too!

I stand to make a little bit, after having put a fiver on us to go down in August.

Happy to donate to the cause (well, to those buggers at Ladbrokes, anyway).

Rebuild in the Championship but expectations of doing a Burnley will depend on hiring the correct Manager and backroom team. Vincent Kompany has exceeded probably even his own expectations.

I'm prepared to lose the £100 staked on being relegated @ 6/1(always was) which is currently £451cash out and potentially £700. Ideal scenario for me is to cash out before Wet Spam and win the game to stay up 😉

£0

The club and majority of fans have brought this on themselves.

Don't get how it's the fans fault, we don't pick the side, or appoint the manager, yes we some of us could shout more, or chant more!

I absolutely assure you had fans voted with their feet en masse, 18 months ago, 12 months ago, 6 months ago then Top would’ve took note. So many on here are in denial about their ability to do more. Truth is, people just wanted to pretend they were a better fan by still attending a game and ‘getting behind them’

I put a shit load on Spurs to win the PL in 2016 when it is was just us or them. It had to be enough to hurt if I lost it to ensure we finished top. If you’re not sure whether it’s enough to hurt double the stake.
Best money I ever spent. Not just for me but for hundreds of thousands of others.

I’ve only got £20 on at sevens for us to be relegated. My apologies for not putting more on. Like a fool I didn’t really think it was going to happen.

I did £62 on us at 6/1 after we lost at home to Fulham (to return my season ticket cost basically).

Just done a similar amount on the Leicester / Coventry double at 11/2. Lets at least get something out of this utter shitshow. Because it'll 100% happen.

Lets be honest, youd hand the cash over to the club, who would spend it keeping the us in the Prem.... however for some inexplicable reason, once they have paid the money, we would find ourselves playing part time in the 3rd division in Turkey with Vestegaard's brother as our captain.
