So self explanatory title, I’ll leave out the ones that we sold for big money and wanted to go on to bigger and better things.

Would any of these, have helped our plight this season:

Ayoze Perez - Loaned out

Mark Albrighton - Loaned out

George Hurst - Loaned out

Hamza Choudhury - Loaned out

Kasper Schmeichel - £1.0m

Eldin Jakupovic - £0

Filip Benkovic - £0

Also ….

Rachid Ghezzel - £3.0m

Demari Gray - £1.00m

For me neither are worse than Teté!

In any other situation I wouldn’t say this, but I think Hamza might added some bite and fight in the middle of the park in recent months.

He definitely wouldn't have played any worse than Ndidi or Soumare

Schmeichel, million per cent.

This team needed it's leaders. We got rid of the main one. Amateur.

This. Pathetic rather than amateur.

Schmeichel without a doubt. Aside from whatever he offered off the pitch he's simply a much better player than Ward and Iversen.

The rest I don't think would have made much if any impact. Allowing two wingers to leave in January was pretty thick but I can't honestly say I believe we'd be any better off with either Albrighton or Perez still here, although if the latter had got his customary goal against Southampton maybe we would.

I do wonder whether the Kasper situation is as black and white as we think it would have been.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree. Better leader, better player. No doubt whatsoever.

But if we remember he went to Nice and got absolutely slaughtered for being overweight and terrible. In a much worse league.

If he stayed, would there would have been the same level of performance and maybe the fingered pointed at him for it? Obviously all theory but it's easy to say after knowing now how bad Ward was. The Kasper thread was already clammering for us to look at new goalkeepers or give Ward a go.

But I still think the idiots at the club seen this as one of the least risky of their "calculated" risks in the summer. One of many that failed spectacularly. Even if the above did happen, it wouldn't have been anything like as bad as Ward for 28 games.

After a challenging start at Nice, Kasper eventually established himself as one of the top-performing goalkeepers in Ligue 1 (statistically), significantly surpassing Lafont, whom the club had been considering signing during the transfer window.

A recent article specifically lauded Kasper for his remarkable knack for securing crucial points in the dying moments of matches for Nice this season. But no worries, Im sure one our comical goalkeepers are all set to achieve that for us in the upcoming season.

Schmeichel and Albrighton.

Albrighton gives us something defensively, and still offers more than Tete (mind you, who doesn't) gives 100% too.

Not sure on Hamza, but could be no worse than Soumare or Ndidi.

That's missing the point of everything I said. Im fully aware he's gone on to do well.

If he'd started the way he'd started for Nice at us this season then there's nothing to say Rodgers wouldnt have dropped him for Ward. I'm just counteracting the hindsight in here. We all know Kasper is far superior. That isn't what I was getting at.

Perez did put in the odd shift tbf and might have been an option albeit not the best. We're just so short of players in those areas. Most teams have 4 wide players they can turn to, we somehow are content with 2 (1 of whom goes missing virtually every game)

This.

Removing their professionalism from the changing room was criminal. Not recognising the impact their loss would have was unbelievably thick.

Hamza had a mistake in him but he wouldn’t let a player walk with the ball into midfield and then jog away like Soumare does.  He would have helped the defence rather than add pressure.
