I’ve read loads of opinions on here, ranging from us have no money at all, to us have plenty with the parachute payments and money from selling players.  Lots of rumours about how much debt we have and how much is expected to be paid back etc etc.

Is there anyone who actually genuinely knows anything, from reliable inside sources, not just their own theories, or those of sports journalists and pundits on TV?

We've already spent them. It was reckless. Some of us pointed it out at the time but were shouted down about it being 'cheaper to borrow' than use KPs own cash.

It's gonna cost top 180m in readies to pay the parachute out his own pocket,.or cost him the club itself. It's devil.or deep blue sea for Top

I think we're fine when the outgoing players leave and their transfer fees and/or wages are off the books.

Yeah we're probably not mega-rich any more but I don't think we're anywhere near as bad as some other clubs down there...

Top just wiped out our debt, at least the money we owed to KP.

We still have outstanding debts but it's nowhere near as bad anymore. Selling Maddison, Barnes, Iheanacho, Castagne, Ndidi should earn us a heft sum somewhere around £130m, add the prize money of around £100m from this season in the prem, and then the 50% of that which we'll get as parachute payment we should be fine as long as we manage to go straight back up. Now obviously we don't actually get the prize money and the parachute payments cause they've already been sold off to that bank

Unless you had specific knowledge and worked for the club there isn't likely to be anyone who could definitively say how our finances our.

Even Keiran Maguire has to make his own assumptions on the current situation of the club based on the accounts of the club that ended in May 2022.

We're earn 210m a year at the moment and we're on the edge.

Income falls to zero next season, as we have spent parachute money. We.maybe will recoup 100m in okayer sales and reduce wages by 20m or so..Still leaves an 80m shortfall

Do you know people who work for the club Paninistickers?  Or are you guessing like everyone else?

The Macquarie loans are on public record.

Yes but some people say they won’t need to be paid back yet.  Apparently they didn’t recall Burnley’s debt when they were relegated.  That’s why I’m wondering if there is anyone on here with inside information.

How has our Financial Director bagged himself a job at Newcastle lol

Departures will not just be on the field, but off it. Simon Capper, the club’s financial director, has accepted a position at Newcastle United. Capper has been crucial over the past 12 months in handling Leicester’s finances following record pre-tax losses of £92.5 million.
