End of the day it was pretty obvious from the start he wasn't coming over to join the first team squad, the club would have made an absolutely massive amount of noise if we were legitimately signing a Thai player that the recruitment team really wanted to play First Team football. Especially given he plays in an area we're desperate for. He's probably just going to train with us or play for the development squad, maybe get a loan if they can find him one. Given how long ago this was sorted, he'd have had international clearance and a work permit in time for the friendlies if there was any intention of Enzo playing him. Interestingly, just about every football player profile site from Transfermarkt to FBRef to even Wikipedia still thinks he plays for Buriram who we have a partnership with. It's possible we haven't even bought him but have just said he can come and train for the summer. It is odd that nearly all of the reporting on the "move" came from wonky translations of Thai articles with no real fanfare over here. Even Buriram's official tweet said they were "sending him to Leicester" which is odd language, albeit it was written in pretty poor English.
