I dont think it's so much writing him off as just tempering expectations. This looks a lot like a development squad / OHL project signing as opposed to someone expected to feature in the first team. If we do actually find and sign a Thai player the club think is genuinely good enough to play for the first team, especially a young promising star, there'll be MASSIVE fanfare from the club.
