fuchsntf Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Absolute crap..that’s still being talked on this forum over Iversens footwork.. He saves,& stops shots…the new coach can work on his kicking.. 3

fuchsntf Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Suddenly like the past…. Another expert on Marescás thoughts…

EnderbyFox Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 So that’s nearly 30m Man City have raised from 2 keepers with a years experience in league 1 each Hopefully Trafford isn’t as poor as Bazanu was last year, tied with Ward for the worst keeper in the league imo
STUHILL Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Surprised they sold him outright. Maybe they have a buy-back clause though. Oh well, looks like might be Steffen then.
Sunbury Fox Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Losing out on a target to Burnley has really brought home our fall from grace. 1

fkas Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Trafford has gone for £15m rising to £19m and there's a buy back clause in there as well.am City made sure they did alright on that deal. It does mean Burnley now have 5 keepers on their books with Kompany purchasing two last summer and now two this summer. Could we do a deal for the Kosovo international who's just been relegated from first choice (you'd assume) and who is also a product of the Man City academy system. 1

And Vincent Kompany probably has quite a bit more pull than us at the moment with an impressive Burnley squad riding the crest of a promotion wave. It's best we get used to being overlooked in favour of Premier League sides, because this won't be the last time.

kingkisnorbo Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Folk saying it's a lot of money yet have been bowling about all weekend on how he's the new Lev Yashin. The fee seems a snip based on what everyone is saying about him.
Happy Fox Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 Asmir Begovic is far better get him on a two year deal and focus on the goal keeper with potential and age later down the line.
Big Wes Says Yes Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 I read a few days ago that Burnley were in for the young Spanish keeper Tenas, who's playing at the Euros and out of contract at Barca B. If they're getting Trafford maybe we could go for him instead. Anyone know anything about him?

Ric Flair Posted 3 July 2023 Posted 3 July 2023 2 minutes ago, Gerard said: It seems like anyone in Man City's U23 side the bidding starts at £10m They certainly know they can raise a large chunk of money and don't seem overly fussed they might losing genuine talent. The buy hack clauses are usually 2-3 times the fee they sold them for in case they are proper mustard. That said, there are still some bargains to be had from their academy but its getting them when their contracts are running down and they want to leave. Alex Robertson for example looks ideal and his contract is up. Bobb and Borges likely to cost £8-12m each, so more than likely loans if we go for them. Although sell Barnes for £40m and both of those would be exciting punts. 2

Being calm under a high press and confident allowing pressure onto you is a lot more mental which takes years to be taught than technical ability which also takes a long time, you don’t just become comfortable all of a sudden. I do agree that he’s a very good shot stopper and that’s the most important trait in a goalkeeper, however, Maresca’s perceived style does not work without a sweeper keeper, it’s absolutely vital and Iversen appears to panic too much on the ball for it to work. Whilst it appears Enzo knows he has time to get the style right, he doesn’t have time to carry any passengers. A key reason why he elaborated multiple times throughout his press conference today about “the right squad”. I personally think Iversen will go out on loan this year, with Ward sadly being the No.2.
