HankMarvin Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 (edited) Jonny Evans to Celtic transfer built on Brendan Rodgers bromance as star turns Parkhead fan after 'fantastic' first era The pair formed a bond at Leicester City where Evans was captain during the final season of Rodgers tenure. edit looks like he has left anyway Edited 15 July 2023 by HankMarvin
MPH Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 I think it’s time for Evans to go. He’s been one of my favorite Leicester players of the last few years but we can’t keep him fit and it’s hard for us to justify paying someone who might not play regularly. We just don’t have that luxury this season.. 1

HarryDee8 Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 Rodgers will definitely have tried to sign him. I reckon he wants to play at the highest level for another year, sounds like Everton is where he will go Give him a year, might even be contemplating Saudi for a big payoff swan song

Popular Post hejammy Posted 16 July 2023 Popular Post Posted 16 July 2023 (edited) As great at defending he was for us, he was the major player in our slow build up play. Every time he got the ball he spent so long deciding what to do, would never drive forward with it and ended up in a side ways pass 99% of the time. Still of the old school footballer ilk. Thank you for your defending but it's now time to move on. Edited 16 July 2023 by hejammy 9

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 18 July 2023 Posted 18 July 2023 Good player. So absolutely won't slag him. But giving him any sort of substantial contract (money or tenure). Is an absolute punt Pay as you play Sir.

For a so called captain and experienced player he let the mess in defence grow. 1
