Me too, think he’s played in that position for us before and did okay as well. If he can stay fit then surely the best option. Can be a bit sloppy defensively at times but with the right coaching I think he’d be even more comfortable at this level.
Fazzer 7 Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 Theres no way Doyle will be an automatic first choice. Not going by yesterday's performance. 2 1

fuchsntf Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 Something to argue over… Iversen Souttar. Coady. Doyle Praet Ricardo. KDH. Justin Winks Vardy. Nacho

Ffs, he’d been with the squad for barely anytime at all. Have to assume he is behind the rest of them with pre season training.

Winks at DM and a creative 8/10 alongside KDH, not Praet Hermansen sounds 99% done as well so him ahead of Iversen Edited 16 July 2023 by moore_94

Was bloody fantastic when he played there or left centre back of the 3 during th If he's here, he's got to be in the team, whatever formation.

MPH Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 Who do I think is the better defender? Souttar. Who do I think suites Marescas style? I dare not say his name. I’ll just say he’s made a great tv career out of scaring people! 1

There would have been a good few clubs in for him and it’s a big year for his development. You’d have thought Man City would have wanted an ‘X amount of games clause’. He will be playing whether he’s **** or not. (I thought he looked OK yesterday though) 1
whoareyaaa Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 I think it will be Faes better on the ball and more mobile than Souttar
NewquayFox Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 Vestergaard will be gone before the season starts, Athens appear to be interested…
Ric Flair Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 I'm actually willing to fight people over this, Souttar is faster than Faes. Ball player an'all. Get the feeling he's vastly under appreciated at Leicester already. 4

You get to watch it a lot as well as he’s constantly caught out of position. Not sure Souttar is quicker but I’d be surprised if he wasn’t! 1

don_danbury Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 none of them really. but if forced then probably souttar

Stopharage Posted 16 July 2023 Posted 16 July 2023 On the basis of his passing against Northampton, I'd start Faes on the bench. He made some puzzling passes and just looked a bit indecisive at times.

But based off yesterday from the 3 I’ll say Souttar, don’t want Faes here anymore. I feel like he has an attitude problem. Not JJ, he’s weak under a high ball and in that position, in this league, would be quickly exposed.
