Has anyone had any luck forwarding tickets to someone in a different age bracket?  Trying to forward older son’s ticket (away at uni) to younger son’s friend, but system won’t allow it, due to age group difference.

I did it to an older bracket after speaking to ticket office. I think to go down an age you have to call them. That’s the impression I got

I forwarded my son's under 22 ticket to an adult, did it online had to pay the difference (£7.79), pretty straightforward.

It seems that going the other way - from an older person to a younger one - has to be done manually by the club

Im forwarding tickets to a friend for the Portsmouth game tomorrow.  Its let me do adult to adult online fine but it won't allow me to do my daughters u16 ticket to an 18 yr old online.   Any solutions?  I know ill have to pay the difference but assumed I could do this online but no joy.  Ill call the ticket office tomorrow if need be but if I could do it online it will save me the hassle tomorrow . Advice welcome

Call the ticket office. Our online system seems unable to do swaps for different age brackets. No suprise.

Just tried to forward my friend’s ticket to my mum. Can’t do it because my mum isn’t an “adult”, as she’s over 65 🙄

Shouldn’t the system have been tested before implementing?

Wonder how many people can’t be bothered and just leave the seats empty.

you used to just pass the tickets on, so simple, but now having to do the transfer means a number of people ( me included) just let them go empty.

i know a family who want to go, friends of ours, but got enough going on without trying to work this out.

Maybe easy enough for some, but for others I think the chore of it means they don’t get passed on and so seats go empty.

The loser is obviously me involved if there is money involved, but also the club as potential new fans don’t get to sample the match.

Opposite for me. It’s the definition of a chore having to arrange to collect and then pickup a bit of plastic to gain entry to a stadium. Now I can forward or screenshot the code in 30 secs at any point I’m free and it’s sorted.
It’ll take you half the time it took to write your post to figure out how to forward, and then forward

One question (if using the official ticket forwarding) - does the person you're forwarding it to have to be a member?

No,  but they do need to have an account.

We have 3 season tickets, 1 adult, 1 under 22 and 1 under 16. What I’ve done is create 3 new accounts, new names and email addresses but similar date of birth. If any of us can’t attend I just forward the ticket to the ‘clone’ account, basically I receive my own ticket via email. I can then forward the email on to a mate.

Now that is smart!!!! Great thinking

I want to take my niece to a game. Due to never having to buy for a child before how do you do it if I want to start getting her points? Do I create her a new account in her name using my email? Or is there a way you create a child’s account through your own account seeing as she’s too young to have her own email address etc?

We're off on holiday and I'm an adult, son U22 giving it to 2 O65's, presume O65 is about same price as an U22, presume then the fee will be very small??  The ticket prices for B & C games are the same having had a look.

Bloody raging that I can’t forward my ticket to my dad because he’s over 65. When will the club learn not to alienate their own supporters?

Can be done over the phone across different age brackets. I had an issue last year where I couldn’t do it online but I have done it once this year so it’s odd that you now cannot.

Does anyone know if the QR code will work on a mobile ticket from a different phone? I’m taking a man with a learning disability on Saturday and his carer can’t transfer the tickets to me because I’m a STH, the club are no help at all.

If anyone is up for an experiment, I can send them the QR code for mine and they can try it, no cost just let me know if it works, obviously you’ll have to make other arrangements if it doesn’t.

Did you find out about this?

I can't make Tuesdays game but my son (16) wants to go and I have suggested his mate (16 also) use my ticket.

Does anyone know if he takes a screenshot of the QR code at the bottom of my season ticket game pass on my phone, will that allow his mate entrance to the ground or do I/he have to take other measures to allow his mate to get in under my pass?

I have noticed there is a scanner under the NFT device at the turnstiles that looks like it's to scan QR codes but can anyone tell me for certain if his mate will get in with a screenshot of it off my phone?

Cheers

I didn’t find out for sure but if you get the QR Code it doesn’t seem to change through the week (I laboriously checked) so screenshot it and it should be okay.
