Possibly but he's an overpaid, egotistical bell end and needs removing from the club ASAP. He's caused problems with every manager other than Enzo, and whilst our managers may have been shit, it doesn't excuse his behaviour.

He's fine to be sceptical of the manager but considering the wage he's being paid he still needs to be putting in 110% effort everytime he steps on the pitch and in training. 

 

Too often he's clearly not bothered and is a liability.

No. He should never play for the club again, regardless of where we’re at. Results don’t matter this season(as long as we stay up). This is about draining the swamp.

True, but also the tactics are shit and the manager should be nowhere near the club too. They can share a taxi back to London. 

We need a leader to speak up about the problems on the pitch and the players faults.  If he has spoken up he then needs to lead by example and offer a solution. Not add to the dross.  We can’t rely on our “best” midfielder.

Can we afford to pay someone £75k + per week and not use them? I’m not saying to build team around him but we should be able to call on him if needed

Otherwise we risk paying 75k+ a week AND going down to League 1.

Winks without the baggage would have been a great sub to bring on - I remember when he came on against Charlton and he managed the game superbly for us. 

 

But he should be nowhere near the squad with his attitude - it might mean dropped points in the short-term but for the longer-term cultural reset, the players need to know there are standards and repercussions, which will make us a better team moving forward. And gives the opportunity for the likes of Page and hopefully Braybrooke to grow, they are the future of the club, not Winks.
