I didn't actually say that about the u21 pay. Someone else did.

It's not a bias. I was actually really patient with him to do with Ruud because we didn't know all the facts and he'd just had a kid. But why should I be now? He's literally fell out with 3 managers now is it? All because they're not Enzo.

He wasn't performing well in the Premier League. He was often too lightweight and he's nowhere near the level he thinks he is in his head.

We were way too reliant on him under Enzo and when his form dropped, we lost to about 12 games in the end which was a disgrace with that squad.

I have no time for footballers who treat this job like Winks does. He will get a shit London club next or maybe relegate another Italian team. But it will be on 20k a week and he will look back at his career and wonder why he never did anything worthwhile.

Whilst sipping an Aperol Spritz, feet in the lukewarm water of his pool, at his stunning £5m Hertfordshire mansion. I'm sure he'll cope and look back fondly lol

He has a contract and unless he is in breach of contract we will honour it - it's a very different situation to being ''at work'' as you don't have a fixed term contract with stipulated pay regardless of performance.

If he's sitting at home (does anyone know this??) the club might have told him to stay away, if so he is obeying instructions and fulfilling his contract.

It's a fact of life whether people get upset about it or not, footballers contracts are bullet proof and he will be getting his £90K a week whether it's morally right or wrong until June.

We don't know he's sat at home but we do know he posted an Aperol Spritz when we got relegated.

What a lad aye

If he was signed in the championship on a certain wage, why would you have it in your contract that your wages reduced when there was an extremely high chance of relegation, unless you had a wage promotion increase which is unlikely.

The problem is, he is not training with the first team... so is he training?

If he is doing no more than gym work then why would anyone pay for him in January when he is unlikley to be fit for at least 6 weeks when they can just get him in the summer for free!

PFA rules say he has to train in a group

He can't train in complete isolation, but that does not mean he has to train as part of a group

Clubs are contractually obligated to provide a "high level" of training and physical fitness preparation

To remain compliant with FA rules, a club that requires a player to train solo must provide a first-team coach (or a qualified fitness coach associated with the first team) to work with them.

Clubs can schedule a player's solo session at a different time from the rest of the squad (e.g., late afternoon).

I is quite a way from A on the keyboard.

I rate Winks...a good manager would have built a team around him and JJ in midfield...

I think Marti would have built it around Winks, JJ & Ramsey after that 1st time they did and it clicked but Ramsey then got injured 1st time.

Then obviously something happened during HT at the Sheff U shambles when he never came out again.

If he was sitting slating the team, the club & probably fans would a good manager allow him to continue playing or do what you call a bad manager did?

Yes, but in fairness it wasn't Winks who gave him the ridiculous wage.  You, yourself have alluded to you wouldn't leave a job for less money.  So, Winks

will stay here pick up his 90k a week and see out his contract.  Personally don't blame him.

Sorry, I will judge the greedy f***er. Not everyone is money grabbing. Some of us actually have the self worth and guts to say enough is enough and move jobs, even if that meant taking a reduction in salary, to do something where we can be happy.

I personally did that a few years ago so I can and will judge these footballers who clearly hate being at the club but ‘can’t move’ or are ‘trapped here’ because their over inflated wages are never going to be matched by other club.

Of course they are under contract and we can’t make them go. But let’s not pretend they don’t have options. He remains here because the money is all that matters and he doesn’t give a damn about playing.
