Whilst I want him gone due to his attitude, i love us more, we will have a better chance of winning the game with him in the squad over who we have available this weekend. I've written this season off, if by some miracle we make the playoffs its a complete bonus, I just want us to secure our status in the league this year and go again next.

Probably does given us a better chance of winning this weekend purely because the options are almost non existent in there. But when Skipp/James come back, he absolutely does not give us a better chance of winning games. His attitude on the pitch was pathetic at times when did he play this season; shirking challenges, strolling about etc.

I think king just left the question open him  saying sometimes a  change can open doors , maybe he was being diplomatic because he to thinks he is a @unt ! but maybe the door might be open? . But then he also said commitment running and pride in the shirt were his non-negotiables, so I have my doubts !  but we are really short and maybe Winks wants to prove a point to get a move. Andy kingy has never has been part of player movement discussions and is just focusing on the game , rightly so

& when Skipp/James/Ramsey are back he’ll be shelved again but as for now when we only have Hamza & Page as starters in the midfield with maybe Golding and a CB who can play as a DM being fast tracked from the academy to support from the bench beggars can’t be choosers.

I’m a simple guy & I keep hearing about wages and how much of a disgrace he is to earn that but not play then have fans say he shouldn’t play it confuses me.

Can’t bring myself to want Winks back in the fold, even if our midfield is decimated.

Hopefully King has just said that to strengthen our hand in negotiations getting him out of the club. Clutching at all of the straws.

Get the feeling he'll make the bench tomorrow. King has absolutely no options, has to start the same midfield as last week and doesn't really have an academy product to use on the bench either. Just hope they keep Winks at arms length.

I often wonder if Winks was the one to challenge managers over the same issues we have all witnessed, seen, moaned about and protested over?

Every one of us has noticed  and endured the sh*t players, sh*t tactics, sh*t defending, sh*t attacking, sh*t results under all these managers he's fallen out with.

So just playing devils advocate here and putting it out there that maybe he has been the one who has stood up to these managers/club expressing and exposing what we have all been witnessing alongside him which is why he's been deemed the "bad influence" and been exiled....maybe just for being the one who stood up, spoke up and had simply had enough too!

Afterall, none of us know the exact reasons why he's been put out to grass by the same 3 managers we've all had issues with

Just a thought as I put my hard hat on.

It’s a reasonable thought but none of any managers tactics would work, whatever they are, if all the players don’t put their full effort in to try and implement them properly. You only have to watch some of our players to see the lack of effort ie tracking back and closing people down etc where stats also show us to be bottom of the league or thereabouts in that respect.

Regardless of ‘buy in’ it’s not about whether you as an individual player you agree with a manager’s tactics or not, you’re paid to do a job like all of us. Some players may not have agreed with Alex Ferguson but had enough vision, like certain other managers to change things, some players are just too thick to understand anyway, it’s more that they just don’t like it.

Supposedly in Winks case their were other off field attitude and loyalty issues like travelling arrangements etc, whatever they are, even when we’ve been very thin on the ground sometimes with midfielders, he’s not been picked by more than one manager now which I think tells it’s own story.

A reasonable rational person would welcome him back into the team to do the job hes paid for when we need him.

I'm neither of the above, hope he never plays for us again no matter how desperate we are.

Wouldn't expect anything less from you, @Rajlol

I think you’re being rational there bud. You need to be strong and give players the message that this isn’t about them as individuals. He’s shown not a single ounce of class since the Maresca era. Show them who’s boss!!

If you’re one of the thousands of morons who clapped when he came on, give your head a wobble.

Yet we were far better in an attacking sense when he was on the pitch.

He came on and tried to play.  I know it's not much and he's burned his bridges but at least when called upon he got off his arse and attempted to play the game.  Some players in this scenario wouldn't do that. Though not worthy of praise in itself it's probably a small positive that he didn't add to the derision by half arsing it even though the game was pretty much done.

True, but we've been down this road before more than once. It's not tended to end well.

Culture and application are our biggest problems. Bringing someone back in who's widely seen as the biggest of the culprits is probably not the answer. He might have done alright in an awful game, when he's looking for a move out and to put himself in the shop window, but history tells us to be cautious.

I'd really like to know the full story as to what's gone on with him. On he face of it, he's fallen out with the last 2 managers so he's the common denominator. But the last two managers have stunk the place out. He could have been kicking off and complaining about training or tactics.

Could just be a mardy selfish bellend, but could be that his complaints were valid.

The fact that King brought him back means it wasn't so bad that he's been totally banished.

He's fallen out with the last 3. If it ain't Enzo it ain't right in his mind.

Based on technical ability he's probably the best we have in midfield at the momet but I'd rather get relegated playing someone who actually cares about the club rather than someone who's only out for himself.

Best player on the pitch today

Whilst I don't disagree, he only turns it on when he feels like it. Been horrible for most of the season before he was dropped.

Yes bad attitude. Certainly not the way to conduct yourself as a professional. However, we need our best players. He was probably right about Cooper, RVN and MC.

We shouldn't be relying on players with 6 months left on their contract, with no playing incentives because this is what happens, but a 70% Winks is better than a 100% Hamza
