So so poor. Tries to make passing a short pass look like it’s a world beating skill. Always makes himself unavailable for Kristiansen. Makes very little effort to recover when out of position. Bending he stayed on today

Don't understand any of the subs to be fair.

Lacks belief and confidence is shot. Worked so hard to be here last season and he’s doing **** all

Can’t blame him when he keeps getting dropped. Seemed to be scared to run at Semedo today.

Not good enough for the Prem. Lacks confidence if doesn't beat his man on the first attack. He then doesn't seem to try to beat him for rest of match. Cuts back or looks for the pass.

I said it last season and got laughed at, but he is no better than Damarai Grey.

He just feels like a too good for the championship, not good enough for the prem type of player.

he missed a lot of easy chances and assists last season and he wont get 5/6 opportunities a game in this league.  That’s the difference between the 2 leagues, to make it, you need to be able to convert at least 1 out of 3 good chances into a goal.

Agree. So similar to Gray

Spot on. He's just not quite good enough. Ok for a squad player but not a starter at this level.

I’d swap him for Grey, or Perez, that’s how far we’ve dropped off it.

That's why he keeps getting dropped. A winger that refuses to take on the full back and can't cross, what use is he?

Yeah but you’ve gotta make yourself undroppable.

But he got dropped albeit by Cooper after making some decent contributions in games. And as a footballer that’s what will kill your confidence.

It’s hard to cross when there’s no one in the box.

New manager; new chance. If he’s still crying about being dropped from a previous manager he can get in the bin. Too bloody soft

Why does he refuse to pass to Kristiansen when he's making an overlap down the line? But instead choose to get fronted up by two players?

This is becoming more and more apparent.

In his last season at Montpellier, he wasn’t even starting ahead of Faitout Maouassa who is currently a free agent.

He is nothing more than a Championship quality winger, who will have the odd good performance in the Premier League.

It’s a shame our alternatives to him are all snails.

First half his performance was embarrassing. Complete lack of effort and if he hadn't bottled that challenge with Jose Sa, that would have either led to a goal, or a possibly a red card for the high boot.

Second half was marginally better in terms of effort but otherwise shocking.

Not sure why people thought he was going to be great at this level. He'll have games where he'll tear it up but at other times, he just looks completely ineffectual. Lots of questionable transfers in the summer but not getting another actual winger in was by far the worst decision, and that's proven the case with Fatawu out.

Was the same with Barnes/Maddison and Kristiansen a few years back

I thought this yesterday. It's like he's wearing camouflage when he goes over halfway. The only decent part about VKs game is when he goes forward and there seems to be no-one willing to use him.

As for Mavididi, it's all about decision making and he made the wrong one every time yesterday. Like all of them, he needs to get over Enzo and get his arse into gear.

Real strange mix today. Excellent assist and our only decent ball forward in the entire second half, but on a couple of occasions a lack of quality meant we didn’t create a chance we should have done.

Ultimately I don’t think he truly believes in himself currently. Seemed too hesitant with the ball, especially in the second half. It’s a bit unfair to be too judgemental though because there needs to be more than just him as our only attacking midfielder linking the play with the strikers. It seemed at times all on him to get us forward bar Ayew occasionally falling over to get free kicks.
