All this: “doesn’t fit our style of play”

and

”needs to be better on the ball”

Call me old fashioned, but I’d like to pick the keeper who’s most likely to keep the ball out of the ****ing net!

I’m not entirely sure who that is yet …. but I just know that it isn’t Danny Ward any more than it is the one who plays up front for Huddersfield

Made a good save from Koroma, but it came from his own mistake.

Good option to have when Hermansen not available though.

Still think Iversen should be in front of him, though Iversen really needs to improve his distribution though judging from this Jakub is only a bit better.

Enzo would rather pick a 22 year old who's never played at this level over someone who played in the PL and has over 70 Championship apps under his belt.

The reason being Jakub a lot better with his feet, not just a bit.

Iversen looks like a keeper back in the 80s with his feet.

Jakub was under pressure today league debut for the club and never played at this level, so you have to take in consideration nerves etc.

Iversen isn't going to play under Enzo

Which other two?

We've got another three haven't we?

I don't think he considered Ward as the 5th keeper, and can you blame him? I'd rather have Huddersfield's Danny Ward in goal.

We had two servicable keepers in the squad last year. How in the name of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and all the animals in the stable did Ward get so much as a kick?!

It's because we had an elite coach who knows more about the game than anyone else. Obviously Ward is world class but just misunderstood.

And, apparently, according to the likes of Merson and Warnock, this same genius coach - who recognised Ward's brilliance - would have also kept us up last season, had we not got rid of him.

Shocking isn't it.

Well at least now we're sucking diesel!

I know we're spoilt with Hermansen but not entirely sure Jakub is the answer as a backup going forwards.

As a shot stopper he is fine and he is confident with the ball at his feet

However, I think he lacks the technical ability witn the ball at his feet to play the way we want to.

The alternative is Danny Ward...

That's why I said going forward. He's fine for now but if we're in the Premier League he is nowhere near the level.

Ward is the only keeper we've got with premier league experience.

As a backup he's more than good enough. He will only be playing in the FA cup and league cup for us.

Think you have to keep in mind he's a little inexperienced, 17 games at League 2 and 13 in the Scottish PL and what he's played for us.

He's also not played first time football since September.

Not sure buying a back up keeper will be priority if we go up.

Hopefully one lesson from last season is a goalkeeper is one of if not the most important positions in any PL side….if we go up Jakub will have to go out on loan as playing to develop is key - he will not be ready to be a back up. The gap to the PL is huge and Mads has potential but the step up will be a test and we will need lots of investment to be mid-table and not come straight back and a new keeper will be key imo ……not as a No.1 but certainly competing or reliable enough to step in…..a keeper like Dubravka or someone with experience
