Immense today but his kicking, distribution and ability with the ball worries me in a Marti team.

Absolutely nothing wrong with it he has mastered what Hermansen's assets was in 2 months

That one save today was different class.

As much as Mads was class for us pre-injury, I always was quite relaxed if we had to sell one player and it was Mads because of the ability of Jacub. My only problem with him is he reminds me for some reason of a younger Justin Rose LOL. Otherwise, I think he will do well for us but he needs some help from the defenders we have too.

It's only the long balls and I think Mads was overrated at these (see West Hams last game). His ability to work with short balls with the defence and central midfield is actually pretty good. Improvement with long balls will come with time. Jakub is an excellent keeper.

That first half save over the bar was superb.

It was insane. The danish commentator was gobsmacked.

I think his issue in playing out is that he’s often playing passes ‘too straight’ towards the midfielder or defender.  The player receiving the ball doesn’t want a straight pass directly towards him when he’s under pressure. They want to be taking the ball at an angle of some kind (depending where their pressure is coming from)..  You’d have thought that if he’s going to master this then he’d have done it by now.

Will be one of our finest. I like to see a keeper who commands his box. Charlton were targeting the far post with their corners, to take the keeper out, where we left smaller players, team needs to work on it in practice. The art of good defending is to stop balls coming into the box, then keepers don't have to make great saves all the time. When we had players like Walsh, Taggart and Elliot they kept us in the top division by stopping goals at one end and scoring them at the other, happy days.

Where’s all the jokers from the Hermansen transfer thread who ridiculed me when I mentioned that Jakub was a more than adequate Mads replacement and has the physical attributes to go further in the game than Mads.

Not one has come here to post their admiration for Jakub as it doesn’t fit in with their negative outlook on life which is full of hate.

We’re so lucky to have a top number 1 slot in without having to spend a penny. I’m adamant Jakub will go on to have a better career than Mads.

Genuinely don't see this myself.  When you consider who he has around him, he plays to the short stuff well. I notice he steps up even more when Winks is playing (who Mads had the luxury of an entire season with).

Don't know where you are getting this from. I'm reading a lot of positivity about Jakub, and some debate about tweaks to his performance that may or may not help. Genuinely don't think anyone is against Jakub.

Wasn't his biggest fan but he was great yesterday and hopefully his confidence continues due to his good form. Needs a lot of work on his passing but hopefully that comes with practice

lol

Come on, I’d say the vast vast vast majority of Leicester fans were happy with him replacing Mads whilst getting a fee for him.

I was worried after his mistake in the previous game that he may feel the pressure of expectation now that he is out number one. Shouldn’t have worried as he was magnificent yesterday. That one save in particular from Coventry was top class and one that either Shilton or banks would have been proud of.
