3 out, 5/6 to go Ndidi, Soumare, Iversen, Souttar, Daka and Nacho.

However I think those currently in the 1st team will be replaced.

3 incomings for me, maybe 4 should the right players become avaliable.

3 you would like or 3 you expect to come in?

I can’t see us doing 3 deals in a couple of days lol

I just don’t trust this transfer team to get those incomings done…

I tend to agree- well we are certainly going to see that prove itself one way or another in next 36hrs- 4 is the magic number if Ndidi and Nacho go for around a joint £30m which I expect them to- CB, CM, Wing, Forward - impossible No-  with our trend line not probable either- crazy thing is we could move them all on and as long as we had a nacho replacement we would probably be ok

I think this is right

Personally I think that should they both go then it would be 1 striker and 1 no10.

If we think back to this time last January everyone was having a meltdown over Tete and Jack Harrison/Albrighton came out the blue. So a lot can happen  in a short amount of time.

I'm very confident that the club the club are working on replacing Ndidi and Nacho.

Let’s hope so mate. Thanks for the info

I despise the little urchin more than anyone,  but it was the club who signed these players, not Rogers. It’s so important a huge lesson has been learned about responsibility and accountability in the clubs dealings during his time here. He became far too powerful and then when he went on his massive whinge there were clearly huge disconnects that led to more bad decisions.

Well the club bought them with their money, but he had brought in his mate Congerton as head of recruitment, to work alongside, and we had been warned by Celtic fans the likely outcome of that.

Broadly thanks for the info I mean… I can read between the lines. Ultimately you posting info doesn’t take away from the fact I think our infrastructure and transfer operation is ****ing amateur!

Agreed we do not need 2 strikers if nacho is sold- no need for 3 at all- If you look at everything we have done so far its obvious Enzo wants 2 players for each position- a 3rd striker would not get any game time at all as per daka so far-  1 striker replacement and 1 that does something completely different that we currently do not have

Yes I remember that.  So we let Perez and Albrighton go out on loan, in the belief that we were signing Jack Harrison, as well as Tete, then Leeds pulled the plug and we ended up with less wingers than we had at the start of the window, and the one we got, turned out to be worse than the two we let go.

Doesn't really fill me with much confidence really!

The lack of noise on incomings at this stage is a bit worrying, expected that we’d hear some things yesterday but absolutely nothing. Im sure there’s a few things in the pipeline in case other dominoes fall, it’s always been clear we need departures to get anyone in even with Castagne going.

Things do move fast at this stage tho - Fati to Brighton for example came out of the blue as the noise was around Spurs.

Agreed re: strikers. If we are following the 'City' blueprint then they only really have Haaland and Alvarez with an abundance of attack minded whippets around them to supplement both strikers.

If Nacho and Daka leave then I think just one comes in. (JV + 1 new player)

He hasn't played Daka because he's no where near good enough technically, to play in the way he wants.

You are happy to go with two strikers then?

So what happen if any new striker comes and gets injured, or turns out to be crap?

We are then left with Vardy, who is 37 in January, has also been prone to a few injuries in recent seasons, and who is not going to be able to play 90 minutes week in week out anyway.

That's not to mention, that he hasn't really been very effective in the way we are trying to play either.

We need 3 strikers in my opinion, but I'm sure the club will just gamble and hope they can get by with 2, even if one is a soon to be 37 year old.

Surely we can’t move that quickly with only a week and a half to go? That’s 1 a day 🤯

Imagine the 6 out could be the below:

Daka, Soumaré, Castagne, Souttar, Iversen, Thomas?

None of these would worry me at all, in the slightest

I think the consensus is Mavididi can play striker if needs be. maybe not ideal but an option

how many more incoming loans are we able to work into the equation?

4 more loans maximum (can't have more than 7 in a season), but ideally only 2 (max 5 in a match day squad)

Me neither

I know we supposedly had some money problems BUT we have taken close to £100m for Madders, Barnes & Timmy, AND we have lost lots of wages those 3 + Viktor, Luke etc.

This might be the most important finish of the window in the last 10 years.....Enzo MUST have the squad that takes us into Jan in the top 2

Whoever is pulling the purse, signing the cheques and making the final decision, this is the one that counts OR we drift aimlessly in the Championship for years

But that squad needs some additional bodies, not rushed to get us through the next 9 months BUT that could ensure that should we go up we stay up, got to be Prem appropriate even if bottom half to buy us  a season.

Maybe, not ideal though, still taking a bit of a punt and hoping it works.

His finishing so far,  doesn't really suggest to me that he could be a striker if I'm honest.

Even the goal he scored wasn't a great connection, which is probably why the keeper didn't save it.

The one just before half time last week, where he opened his body up to shoot was also awful.

He's had a few good moments, but I'm far from convinced by Mavadidi yet, to even be the real deal out wide!

Hence the 'leaned lessons' bit.

Reading between the lines, we just need to trust the process, never know what curveballs or surprises might come out of this season.

Will probably need a sit down at the end of it.
