Just me or does anyone else have a deja vu feeling about this 'crazy week'? At the moment it's crazy in a @LinekersApples sense :tumbleweed:

Strangely I feel a lot more relaxed this time around because we got a lot of business done already and I think we can can cope even with curveball departures.

Let's say we lost Faes, Ndidi, and Iheanacho. All 3 of those are in the starting lineup, but we could play JJ, Casadei and Vardy with no new signings. We could probably play Mavididi or Praet as the false 9 for cover, even if that sounds stupid. And this all assumes that we don't bring in anyone to replace those players, which we know wouldn't be the case.

It wouldn't be ideal, and it would result in less depth, but I feel like we already have 90-95% of what we need already. Compare this to every other team in the division, and I feel like we are not scrambling around for incomings anywhere near as badly as others. It's more getting players off the wage bill that's the issue.

These 8 leave in one way or another 100%- probably sell 2 and loan 6

Iverson

Kristianson

Thomas

Castagne

Souttar

Soumare

Ndidi

Daka

5 more in- CB, CM, 2 wings, Forward

Going to be a crazy few days considering how tight lipped the club are about targets at the minute

2 down - 6 to go -  I still think all 8 leave

Maybe a little enthusiastic on the 5 in though- maybe 3

Well.

At this rate, tomorrow is either going to be a massive flop or our most interesting deadline for years.

Isn’t deadline day Friday?

It's just possible, just, that this window could be Rudkin's finest hour! 🤔😬🤣

After a glimmer of excitement over incoming and outgoing deals earlier this week, it's not looking so likely now is it? :dunno:

Iheanacho and Daka both heavily linked away without even a slight link to another striker

Being linked means nowt though really.

This will be another anti-climax. Suspect we will just have Issahaku joining.

Can see a few players leaving though - Soumare, Daka, Thomas and perhaps N'didi.

Concerning, as we are still 1 or 2 players short if we lose those 4.

Would like a striker to replace Daka and CM to replace N'didi.

That would make us pretty formidable.

Yeah, it feels the plethora of potential incomings, after the 2 wingers were having medicals at the weekend isn't materialising. Not even sure Issahaku will sign.

I think a max of 1 more incoming and 3-4 out the door (Thomas, Soumare, Iversen & possibly Daka).

A versatile forward/winger in.

That ratio is about right financially, but hopefully doesn't leave us short.  I suppose we were never going to clear out all the deadwood in one window.

Said it at the start of the month when we were apparently hoping for five - three maximum. So that'd be another two from now. I'll stick with that prediction.

I'm hoping I'm wrong but....

I do think we will look to bring in at least one player from Man City. Maybe Bobb….

Is this the pond we're fishing in nowadays?

If we're slightly short, we should cope. We don't have the Brendan injury tax to deal with any longer, and there's another window in a few months!

Not so sure on the injury front, picked up plenty of niggles already as well as Coady's lengthy injury. When we start the run of midweek games as well as thr weekend we'll see what we're made of.

Yeah, remains to be seen really.

Niggles are part and parcel. Praet is Praet, Coady's an impact injury.

It's too early for it to be anything other than guesswork, but I feel we'd already be looking at muscle injuries under Rodgers by now.

Adductor strains, hamstrings etc. We had so many of that type of injury under Rodgers and we didn't have to play many games to see them.

What is noticeable is the club has gone back to do deals very much under the radar, recently most of the links for players incoming have been via overseas sources, there is very little coming out via UK sources from our side, therefore the lack of links doesn’t concern me too much.

Personally I think it’s too difficult to call in terms of departures, any of the the following are likely to head out if we can agree on a suitable deal - Soumare, Iversen, Ward, Souttar, Praet, Daka & Thomas. In addition to that we could also lose Ndidi and Kels.  Realistically I think we will see a minimum of 4/5 leave but could be 9 and on that basis I think we will see a minimum of 1 incoming but depending on exits if the 9 do move on then we could see up to 4 new arrivals.

hope we sign Issahaku plus another 8 and cover for Doyle. Maybe Doyle cover is a bit greedy.

I'd love us to get cover for Winks and a replacement striker should Iheanacho and/or Daka goes...but I don't think either will happen now.

I'll be quite surprised if, along with Thomas, Soumare and Praet don't head out the door. Souttar I think will be reintegrated.

Sadly I think we won't shift any of our 3rd/4th/5th choice keepers.

Rudkins office will be akin to an 02 call centre today, so many deals need to be made. We need about 8/9 incomings and outgoings. We’re going to be stuck with a few for sure on bug wags.

I recon that’s why THB hasn’t been able to come.
