I despise the little urchin more than anyone,  but it was the club who signed these players, not Rogers. It’s so important a huge lesson has been learned about responsibility and accountability in the clubs dealings during his time here. He became far too powerful and then when he went on his massive whinge there were clearly huge disconnects that led to more bad decisions.

He had to get rid of Schmeichel to ensure that there weren't any of Sven Goren Eriksen's signings remaining after all of his had left.

That would be quite something, selling our best striker so we can afford to play our worst.

It's been good. So far, the only players who were absolutely integral to us and have left are Maddison and Barnes, and we'd have lost the former anyway.

I know this tweet is being used as a Rodgers attack but 1) barely any signings were made in the last year, 2) we're having to sell players on the cheap due to relegation 3) if we talk about "only Fofana" making a profit, it was a massive, massive, profit and 4) the crap Jan recruitment I'll blame on Glover.

While the whole blame doesn't lie at the feet of Rodgers he does take a fair bit of it. Between him and Congerton they both have a very poor history of player recruitment, something which a few of us were worried about when appointing them. If you take a list of every single player Rodgers has signed in his time as a senior manager, I'd bet that people would struggle to come up with 10% of those players turning out to be a success, even including his time at Celtic

 

*Edit, before people start to discuss his time at Celtic, Rodgers was the guy who thought Jonny Hayes was good enough for Celtic

We are clearing the decks, whether it is just to offload unwanted players and wages or we're plotting some new faces who knows. Probably the former really but wouldn't it be great if the club had an ace in the hole somewhere!
