nick6666 Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 His agent told us “Wilfred is unfortunately not coming to Celtic. The news is false”. I don't really like the unfortunately bit...

Then he gave up on us and it seems his only offer was Villa. Hardly the man u Madrid gig he was being linked with. In fairness Villa did well last season. 1
Foxin_Mad Posted 4 July 2024 Posted 4 July 2024 Rodgers nearly ruined his career, I cant imagine many would want to play for that muppet.

Only a couple of poor signings away from falling away, as they don’t have the big 6 revenue to make mistakes. 1
moore_94 Posted 5 July 2024 Author Posted 5 July 2024 Leicester are also hopeful of persuading Wilfred Ndidi to sign a new contract. Ndidi is a free agent this summer and has been targeted by clubs in England and overseas, but talks are ongoing and Leicester are growing confident of reaching an agreement. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/07/05/steve-cooper-first-leicester-signing-bobby-de-cordova-reid/

Wortho Posted 5 July 2024 Posted 5 July 2024 He has deteriorated , id be concerned if we offered him another contract… he’s very slow and won’t cut it in the prem. 2
Salieri Posted 5 July 2024 Posted 5 July 2024 At this point I hope he stays with us, but that’s probably based more upon the fact our midfield options are painfully light atm 🥴

His ability to be injured for at least a quarter of the season is a skill he has mastered too. He scored a couple of important goals after his injury in January but overall contribution was below par and like you said he often looked like he was running in quick sand. Thanks for the memories Wilf but it’s best we both move on. 6

sylofox Posted 6 July 2024 Posted 6 July 2024 We really should have given him a deadline. Like Monday midday or the offer is gone. We obviously have a back up plan. But really need to get it moving. This season really is not a time for sentiment. Sign it or Thank You and good bye. 1
Product of 84 Posted 6 July 2024 Posted 6 July 2024 I'm hoping all the 'news' will come out now we have a kit to put them in for the photos. 🤞 1
splinterdream Posted 6 July 2024 Posted 6 July 2024 Anyone else want to see him move on? Keep see people putting him and winks together as a midfield 2, that just won't cut it, he can only play with 3 in central midfield imo

No hard feelings, just business. Maybe I'm wrong, I'd hope we'd at least consider it before defaulting to extending. 1

If I was Wilf, I'd probably look for a move to La Liga, Ligue Un or Serie A. 1
