I’ve been fairly impressed with the quality of our opposition so far this season but today Bristol city were exactly how I thought the majority of championship sides would be they were absolutely abysmal

Superb. 

 

Especially at the end, loved that moment as they all had their individual time to go to the fans and thank them, and vice versa. The Pearson cheers were probably the loudest. Him being able to do that even after a loss was very heart-warming. And then the King song after the rapturous applause for he and James was great.

Lovely to give a reception to Pearson, King and James too. Seeing the cricketers parade the trophy another plus.

I imagine there’s been plenty of players who have come down who fans reckon are too good for this league - but watching Winks at this level is genuinely mind boggling. He gets the ball and he makes it seem like he’s got time to roll two fags, sort his Mrs out, put the lottery on and then make the right pass every single time. He is so far ahead of everybody else at this level, I can’t believe he’s dropped down and I’ll fully admit I never appreciated what he had in his locker.

That was a 3-0 win with a 1-0 scoreline. Much the better side today. I thought in many ways that was our best performance of the season. At times the football was was scintillating, we just needed a better touch or a bit of composure to make our dominance count.

  Thanks for that  what a giggle. I’ve been called all sorts in the past and I’ve had some banging insults. I was a psych nurse in an all male psychiatric intensive care unit. But I’ve never had that. Bravo chap. Bravo @ARM1968

I think the difference is that we have been able to spend money during the summer and are still somewhat living off our prem budget … what for certain is, without parachute payments .we will likely have had to sell more and not ‘ splash the cash’ so much. Some Heroic defending in the first half. You could have gone 4th if you’d have won. Trust Pearson. We can see what he’s trying to do- you’re developing a great mentality and  togetherness and it’s all so familiar to us- it was the foundation to our success.

 

 

 

I will say though that there wasn’t a keeper in the world who could have saved that penalty. Different game after that wasn’t it? You had to chase the game a bit more and that’s always dangerous against our wide people..

I'm sure the moral high ground is far more important to your fellow fox than it is to me after 50 years following my club. We will be fine against lesser sides. 

Too fast, too good, too strong didn't bode well for us with our best CH out but no excuses, just too good.
