I'm not sure he's on the record about it, but it's been debunked plenty of times elsewhere.

Point is, it's nonsense designed to deflect.

True. I'd rather we focus on the fact he is the man most responsible for the last decade of declining living standards

One thing I don't get is that the tories promised mental health act reform in both the 2017 and 2019 manifestos and yet every year fail to put it in the kings speech despite the legislation being there ready to go. The existing act is not fit for purpose, allows for solitary confinement of people with autism and learning disabilities for one.

What are the political/beurocratic reasons why they can't push this through?

They don’t have mates running business’ able to profit from these policies ……..

when they do you can be sure that they will be in the kings speech !

Not as quick as pushing through a peerage, that's for sure.

I wonder if Cameron, when he doesn't get his way again,  will runaway?

As for making a peerage for him it just smacks of yet more sleaze which is rife in politics.

On top of that he could only be in post for less than a year although he will still hold on to his House of Lords position.

They were never going to do anything about mental health, this government is actively trying to cut benefits of those with physical and mental disabilities.

Andrea Jenkins submits a letter of no confidence, stating that it’s their last chance to stop Keir Starmer’s socialist cabal.

Living in a fantasy world. They genuinely think they still have a “silent majority” behind them.

Therese Coffey given the boot too.

Good, watching her trying to defend the government’s record of handling the water companies

who continue to pump untreated sewage into the rivers and sea was excruciating.

The Israeli Ambassador to the UK showing what sort of animal she is again today while be questioned by Krishnan Guru Murphy. Horrible person. I can remember her criticising the Board of Deputies for recognising a two state solution! While Israel have people like this and the UK continue to recognise such people, you can get rid of Hamas but there will be no peace.

This is like throwing a hand grenade into the thread isn't it? Especially with mods not wanting political arguments.
