I like this.

A kind of hors d'oeuvres before (fingers crossed) we have a "Teams That Can't Catch Us" thread later in the season.

I guess a better title would have been “Teams we’ve surpassed from last season” :D

"TEAMS AGAINST WHICH OUR CURRENT EXCELLENT FORM BEARS FAVOURABLE COMPARISON, WHEN YOU TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THEIR ACCUMULATED TOTALS LAST SEASON AND OURS THIS SEASON"

Definitely this.

Terrible title I know.

However today’s wins means we’ve equalled the total number of points that Wigan accumulated for the entire 22/23 season.

First one down!

24th - Wigan with 39 points after 14 games.

The next two are Reading and Blackpool on 44 points.

You forgot Leicester City (34 pts)

They were shite!

I want the teams that can’t catch us. The way we’re going it won’t be long until there’s a few.

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if we could tick Sheff Weds off in early Feb. Boxing day marks the 24th GW so it's mathematically impossible on all circumstances before then, we'd obviously need 4 more points on top of winning all between now and then and Sheff Weds losing all, so that would put Huddersfield at home on January as an earliest possible point. Assuming we drop some points, they pick some up, plus we make A Cup round 4 (meaning home to Swansea is rearranged) we might hit that point at home to them on shrove Tuesday on GW32

No!!  We will be docked points, because we have the audacity to play a system

that no fking normal person understands, but guarantees always 3 pts.

Then decided that losing 3pts against Hull was fishy, and is being investigated ,because we like the rules of Rugby that give you time to think about off-field descisions.

It will happen in all sports, where no game is actually played, but scenarios created,so TV-moderator-judges decide results of all virtual  games..

We are now ahead of Sunderland who finished 6th on goal difference.

Confident we should scrape into the play off spots this season 😊

With 51 points still available, we're currently:

32 points behind Burnley's total from last season.

33 points behind our own total of 102 points in 2013/14.

37 points behind the highest ever total of 106 points achieved by Reading in 2005/06.

Where are we in relation to Reading at this stage?

We certainly need to up the ante a little to surpass them. After our 9 game winning run that put us on played 14 won 13 lost 1 = 39 points, our next 15 games have = 30 points, so 2ppg. If we carry on that same form for the remaining 17 games then we'll finish on 103 points.
