Always the nervy endings with this club. Should have been out of sight long ago. Some sublime play and some sloppy finishing.

The one slight negative is that the last two games should have both been 4-0 and were far closer than they should have been.

Most enjoyable game of the season. Mavadidi taking the piss out of the Birmingham fans the highlight.

 

Nervy for the last 20 but should have been out of sight by then.

 

When it clicks it is great to watch. Well done to Birmingham too. Gave us a game and never gave up.

Seriously though our defending in our final third isn’t great, but tactically we essentially compensate and ‘defend’ well by dominating possession. The less the opposition has the ball, the less they can harm us.

The scary thing about the rest of the campaign is that we’re not clicking properly in the final third yet.

 

We’re going to score 6+ goals in a few games this season, I’m sure of it.
 

We score so many goals and yet our decision making in the final third is the absolute pitts 😂

We gotta stop pissing about around our own box when we get a comfortable lead. Piss about up their end and try and score another goal. It’s frustrating how casual we get when we could put the game well and truly to bed.

 

Good solid win and Fantastic resilience at the end but I we should make it a lot lot easier on ourselves.

One of the best games I've seen KDH have for us, the lad was absolutely superb

Just shows how much more we have to give. Just a few better decisions and we will completely blow teams away. We're getting there. Cut out the bad decisions at the top and switching off at the back and we could possibly not only break the points record but also the goals scored.

Defence is where we haven't made any squad changes and it shows. They are just as fragile as they were in 2022/23 to quick passing and movement.

 

Winks, KDH, Fatawu, Mavididi were immense, Hermansen strong. Everyone else was pretty average. 

 

Worth noting we are playing without either of our first choice strikers, our first choice left back and a guy who has scored 5 goals this season in McAteer. We've managed that quite well over past few games but need to get back to full strength for the 3 or 4 games before afcon kicks in. 

 

We are going to need Doyle, McAteer, Yunus, Vardy etc to step when our african players are absent. Fatawu could become a superstar at the afcon if given a chance.

 

 A bit of 'they have such a deep squad' creeping in to commentary. They are forgetting how difficult it is to ship 15 players and create a new team in close season. Saints and Leeds certainly haven't managed it and they didn't lose players as good as maddison and barnes

Bringing Choudhury on for Mavididi meant we had to move players into different positions so we lost momentum. Hopefully get McAteer and Yunus back soon because were lacking depth/options out wide at the minute

Really? I thought they were the worst team we've played this year. Tactically they were all over the place and that defence of theirs looked very bad. Their goalscorer looked good but as a team I thought they weren't good at all

Flattering scoreline for Birmingham. Should have been a much bigger win with excellent chances falling to Fatawu, Daka, Casedai and probably others that I’ve forgotten.

 

They did give us some problems, mostly from set pieces but also from periods of intense pressure. We do seem to panic sometimes when pressed hard and our passing game falls apart just when needed.

 

Very exciting match to watch with some  liquid smooth football played at pace by us. Another good win, KDH MOTM for me.
