This game isn't a season definer for us, even if we lose we will still be comfortably top.

For Ipswich its a lot more important to them and that is likely to lead to them trying too hard leaving space behind. We have scored a few breakaway goals this year so I think it'll be a score draw or away win leaving Ipswich increasingly looking to Leeds games and results.

... or Southampton.

Can’t wait for this, without being too arrogant, nearly every game we play this season the oppo started with 10 men behind the ball. Will be refreshing to play against someone who will go for it

Abdul to shine, 1-3. 9 points clear, sexy football time

I'm hoping this 2-game spell for Ipswich where they have to play us and Leeds will be a massive wake-up call for them similar to when we were riding high in 19/20, and had to play Man City and Liverpool over Christmas under Rodgers - got well beaten by both

And in both situations, Norwich were the ones that laid a banana skin on the floor…

This kind of games are always overrated. Promotion/league tittle is never decided between the clashes of the direct rivals. You need to be consistent with all the other games.

For example we might lose all 4 games against Leeds and Ipswich and still finish 18pts clear on the top.

Leeds won 4-0 vs Ipswich, if they fail to win vs Preston they're doing right away a step backwards. From our position ofc a win will cement a good lead but let's keep consistency in all other games and job is done.

This is certainly a more pivotal game for Ipswich than us. Lose, they’ll not only be 9 points behind us, but another game without a win and a chance for Leeds and Southampton to move closer to them.

Been on the beer but going 4-1 to the Foxes.  If they attack us I think we will tear them apart.  Sounds arrogant but that's how I feel.

I think that there is a bit of over confidence creeping in among the FT faithful.  I'm not sure I like it.  I think I'm more comfortable with the catastrophising and pessimism.

In true FT reactionary spirit, Ipswich have one bad game and suddenly they're no hopers it seems.  I think we could be in for a rude awakening.

Surprised they are travelling down tonight (via Riccy P’s insta) for a tomorrow evening fixture

It’s pretty standard unless it’s under an hour journey - Ipswich isn’t easy to get to if there is a problem on the A14

120 mile trip on a busy boxing day or on a Christmas night when nobody is on the road.

A lot depends on the Ipswich intentions for the season. If they fancy winning the league then they surely have to go for the Win.

On the other hand if they're playing for promotion then they may hedge their Bets then they may settle for a draw.

We've seen how good they are going forward and how poor they can be at the back which makes for an interesting game.

I expect our wingers to thrive and trouble them. Though I do think they will score which means we need to score two to win.

So an interesting game allround which I think we might just edge 2-1

I think they will play to their strengths and attack.
