You have to give it the nod of appreciation for what it is though, eh?

That was a class side working out three points under the behest of a manager who knows his shit. Framing it as anything other is pretty poor form imo.

OK, may be my choice of words (including halfs) wasn't the best. Onwards and upwards

Maybe the reason we played like that second half is so we don't play like that against Boro and Leeds.

How many times have we played like that this season and either let weak goals in 2nd half or the latter period of the game?

Sheffield Wednesday was shocking and probably one of the worse teams we have played at kingpower this season. Game management was not required and being honest when we was conducting this "game management" we allowed them to have chances,  chances that decent teams would punish us with.

All I'm saying is if we do that against half decent sides we will be punished.

However it's a great night another 3 points in the bag, Southampton lose and we are nearly on our way back

Feel for Cannon coming on when we’re closing the game out. Frustrating for him to be honest. Still, got some time on the pitch.

2nd half was just a kick about really, no real jeopardy. Ref was absolute muck. Easy 3pts, honking crowd and atmosphere. On to the next one.

I'm just going to say it - I like Dennis Praet

I thought he looked really very average. His energy levels are woeful, kinda Tielemans effort

I'm alright with the walking pace second half tactics, but surely if you're going to do that, use your five subs and get some legs rested and some minutes in legs for others.

It was clear a few players were struggling at the end (especially faes, vesty and praet), and the difference in our counter attacks first and second half was marked.

Otherwise. No complaints, i even enjoyed seeing a ref play loads of advantages.

Didn't bother with the match thread.

Dominant, exceptional performance; all Sheff Wed could do was watch and admire our football.

Second half, we could canter to the win.

We're getting better and it is exciting.

You could literally see one of their midfielders throwing his hands in the air after we played through the press. Was better than the football. But you’re spot on.

Few obervations:

2 great saves from Mads, again.

Justin looked like he is scared to sprint forward/change direction quickly. I think he is still some way off being back to what he was, physicality wise, before knee injury. If he ever gets there.

Praet has good quality but doesn't offer 50% of the dynamism of ndidi, casadei and yunus. He doesn't burst into that right channel for fatawu to play through and so we end up with less opportunities to get in behind.

Thought fatawu, vardy, mavididi, faes, Ricardo and Winks were top notch.

I'd have KDH and mavididi on the brain training thoufh wmas some of their decision making is shocking...
