copunk Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Can see everyone is preoccupied with how south tonight went so thought I would start the topic 🤣 Personally not arsed of we lose, had we won tonight I would have gone full strength and gave it a go, but surely our attention now has to be the leagueÂ
Tuna Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 3 defeats on the bounce could be disastrous for morale 4
Popular Post volpeazzurro Posted 23 February 2024 Popular Post Posted 23 February 2024 Couldn't really give a toss about this match, play the kids and squad. 5
HybridFox Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Always want us to try in the cup. Not the end of the world obviously but a win here would be a big boost after back to back defeats. 3 on the trot and if we're then being held by QPR, the pressure starts to build. Make no mistake Sunderland is a tough game after that too 2
Tommy Fresh Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Half not arsed, half want to win so the Southampton game gets pushed back and gives a bit of a nicer looking run for a bit 1
Sunbury Fox Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Forgot about this as was I focused on the QPR game. We always lose here, and we'll play the reserves now the league is getting too close for comfort so a complete waste of time. Limp 2-0 defeat probably.Â
Fazzer 7 Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Well obvs we'll lose, just not by too many I hope. We simply have to beat QPR
Fox 4 Life Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Couldn't give a **** about this, we need to focus on the league. Play the kids 2
jayfox26 Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Had we beat Boro and Leeds like we should, id have said go full on strongest team and try and win. Given we lost our last 2 and our lead has been cut to 6, I couldn't give 2 hoots about this game. Start Danny Ward up front for all I care. 1
broadstone fox Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Think we should go full strength.Need to bounce back as soon as .Seen afcb play a few times this season . They play pressing fast paced chaos football. Our reserves would get mullered. This will be a huge and interesting test for enzos tactics and formation. Its a winnable game if we turn up. Their arrogant fans seem to think this is an easy game 1
bovril Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Very similar thread to the 4th round. Â Thankfully we won that and went a run...
alanf0x Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Play the kids and once we lose, can say it’s because we played the kids… 1
Sly Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Winning this tactically might actually break the league up a bit, as I believe the Southampton game would then need moving.Â
Nod.E Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Could not care less. Not going to win the competition, this is an annoying distraction.
Sly Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 Can Vestergaard play in this after his booking tonight?Â
Lesta2014 Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 2 minutes ago, Sly said: Can Vestergaard play in this after his booking tonight? Sky quoted qpr and Sunderland as ones he missed? When’s the threshold for 10 cards to avoid ban?Â
Sly Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 I think we’ll go with a fairly strong team.  It’s a good measuring stick on how we perform against a mid to lower Premier Lesgue team.Â
moore_94 Posted 23 February 2024 Posted 23 February 2024 (edited) Completely forgot about this, thought it was straight into QPR next  I don't think he will make quite as many changes as in previous rounds but I think we will still see about 5 or 6  Stolarczyk, Coady, Doyle, Praet, Albrighton, Cannon in Edited 23 February 2024 by moore_94 3
