I think we must have really put some noses out in the EFL and they are using their influence at the EPL to go after us. Neither might be able to touch us though going by the club’s statement, which was basically legalese for ‘**** off and die’

I can't begin to imagine the meltdown when we get a 10 point deduction when Forest only got 4!

The failing to submit audited finances bit is the joke here. I think we were asked to submit our finances when the Premier League teams were and we've said no. As a Championship club we don't have to do that. We then plan to submit our finances when asked by the Championship (end of this month I think). 

 

So out defence is... Prem you can't charge us as you won't get out finances in time to do so and it would be unfair to punish teams (Forest) this season and us next for the same accounting period. And Championship its to late to charge us as we are now in compliance (sold a player or 2 in the account window early summer). 

 

Fun times. We might be dancing on a tightrope but with a bit of luck we might just be alright.

I imagine it would be 6 because no chance would the Prem give us 2 points less like Forest got for mitigation now

We all know that football is totally corrupt and designed to benefit the 'elite' clubs and we were the mongrel that upended and spilled their gravy train. Was only a matter of time before they got us.

 

All part of the excitement of following the most interesting club in English football.

Without even going into any alleged charges against us, the whole FFP thing is utter bollocks. Who pays for football? The fans, be that through TV subscriptions, match day tickets, merch etc. Of course sponsorship and owner input (although that's not allowed not under ffp rules) plays a big part too, but ultimately, the fans are the ones that finance football? Who suffers under the current ffp rules? The very people that finance the whole thing, the fans! We pay our hard earned cash to support our teams (I say teams as I'm including every single club in this not just ours), we have zero input into the financial running of the football club yet we are the ones that ultimately suffer. Do the players suffer? Absolutely not, they can go and get another contract at another club if needs be. The owners don't really suffer other than not being able to take the club forward and possibly lose interest in the whole thing and want to sell up, but who in the right mind would want to buy a football club crippled by ridiculous rules which ultimately prevents you from competing. 

 

The timing of the whole thing is also very suss. The powers that be hated us winning the league. They hated us winning the fa Cup. They hated us competing. They probably loved us being relegated but then hated that we were making a mockery of the Championship by being miles ahead until our recent blip. During our blip, the efl try to suggest they will sanction us and we tell them they have no jurisdiction. So big brother gets involved and the pl go right well we will fck you then. And we won't wait until the end of the season, we'd rather create uncertainty and instability at your club at a vital part of the season. Whole thing absolutely stinks and is really turning me off football now. The corruption is beyond repair now and things will only get worse.

Exactly my reading of the situation so they are going after us publicly instead. Compare and contrast that aggression towards us with the silence re: Man City and Chelsea. **** them both.
