It's the one I used based on a rumour. I don't know.

Yep other than the collar.

Shame we haven't done anything for the clubs 140th anniversary. That would have been cool. Even if it was a one off kit for a game then they sold a few thousand in the club shop.

Yeah exactly

Fair enough, I can't argue with that. Football is supposed to be escapism, etc. And I'd be a huge hypocrite to criticise you after just saying that we each choose our battles.

I stand by the whataboutery as that is literally what happened, but I apologise if I caused offence.

Have a good day

I don’t really understand why on social media it’s considered to be unacceptable to point out a hypocrisy or (to use a favourite derogatory word of yours) to identify a whattaboutery in someone’s argument or standpoint?

If the club do do anything I can't imagine they'd go to any more effort than just wear this season's sash kit as a one-off, with the new sponsor applied on top of the King Power logo at the last minute with one of those massive nasty black boxes to cover it, no doubt pressed on at a jaunty angle as is the club shop trademark

Club didn’t exist until 2010, apparently.

Outside of "because it's trendy to hate the club at the minute"....

Why exactly would we celebrate 140 years?

125... yep I get it, everyone does it... 150... yep, significant number, century and a half... why 140? Do we know of other clubs that have made a big effort to celebrate what is essentially just a number between 100 and 150?

So long as it's blue with white shorts. Not having this gold nonsense.

Our most successful period has been with gold as part of are colours and it’s been about 20 years now don’t see the fuss anymore

Personally believe every decade should be celebrated, maybe not to the extent of 125 was but I think a relative nod to the past is worthy.

It’s only been an addition since King Power I think? Maybe 2013/2014 was the first shirt they added gold stuff on.

Think your probably right but the amount we’ve won with gold as are trim compared to before it’s became iconic in my eyes personally, we’ve had yellow/ orange in the past too so isn’t a huge difference

Personally I prefer just blue and white, nothing else. I think it looks tacky but then if enough people like it and it becomes tradition … However, I don’t think there are enough people who like it to warrant its inclusion.

We’ll be sticking with blue shorts.

On one hand, I like blue shirts/white shorts and associate that with the club’s historic, classic look. On the other hand, one of the easiest considerate decisions the club can make is to ditch the white shorts for the women’s teams.

Supporting the women’s team and having a uniform look across the club were probably not the original intentions behind the club going back to blue shorts, but either way I’m fine with putting the historic look aside for our “second” look if those are the effects.

I would like to know the numbers of shirt sales over the last 10 years that would almost definitely suggest you're wrong

It's hitting another 10 milestone, why not?

There will be other factors that support an increase in shirt sales. Most successful period in our history, consumer preference for actual shirt buying, fanbase has increased and non-fan sales too. I don’t believe gold would be a factor.

I agree.

I always found the reversible fosse gold one strange for 120 years.

As long as we wear the fosse kit for our home games in 2034 I'll be happy!
