Honestly @Chelmofox I’ve found this season the most stressful ever. I apologise to all.

oh bless you! There have been times i've wanted to locate you just to make sure you were ok! You wear your heart on the forum that's for sure.

I do think i found the relegation season more stressful. I don't know why, i always had faith we would get this done. I have the same faith, that although it would mostly be nasty, we will scrape through next season.

Which was overturned on appeal on the basis that you only get 9 points for insolvency, thereby rendering it disproportionate. Their second deduction was only 2 points and Forest only got 4 points, so we would most likely have a case for a similarly modest sanction based on those precedents.

Didn’t know that. Our loss is significantly worse than those teams mind.

Yep. On the basis of the punishment having to be less than you'd get for insolvency, 8 would be the maximum and I think the EPL will definitely try for that to start with

It is, but the effective cap of 8 points at most makes life easier. And that's before the club lawyers inevitably do what they can to argue it down, such as pointing out the fact that the two clubs immediately above us in the relegation season, thus causing a significant financial loss, were also in breach of PSR.

That's the key part, realistically I'd expect 8 initially, argued to 5 or 6 on appeal because part of the losses were caused by the pls failure to punish Everton breaches in a timely manner

The power of hindsight… we were supposed to get the biggest prize, yet I’m sat here still not able to shake off watching us get hammered by Everton!!!!… and Leeds are winning every week and just won 7-0.

It makes you wonder, what’s the point in it all. Last year was our most enjoyable campaign in a long time and I’m almost excited to get back in that division.

I wonder if the sentiment is the same at Southampton and Ipswich. Perhaps it’s a little different for Ipswich as they still have that novelty but this has been a soulless campaign.

Well don't be because it won't be anywhere near the same as last time.

The point is to celebrate and enjoy every moment whenever you achieve something -  when you support a club outside the "big six/seven".

The next crash is only ever just around the corner for clubs like us.

Villa, Brighton, Leeds, Bournemouth, West Ham etc. are in the same boat as us with that too.

soulless because Top & Rudkin never gave us a chance by making horrific decisions, e.g contract extensions to Vesty, getting Edouard on loan along with 2 journeymen, and not getting a CB  RB, LB with any pace or defensive nous and no striker.  I can't believe there wasn't a young striker in Europe or further afield who wouldn't have wanted a crack at the EPL, the sort of player we used to identify before others and now have no clue what a barn door looks like.
