demon_dog Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Any preference anyone with the release of the fixtures on Tuesday. Do you fancy an easy start at home or want a top team to get the tough games out of the way What about Xmas and New Year? End of season preference considering how important we all think it will be. Personally I would rather us start with a couple of games against some of the poorer teams. Same for the end of the season. At home either Boxing day or New Year, I don't mind either way
East Langton Fox Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Man City away first game. 😱 Chelsea at home second 😃 1
rugbyblue Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Southampton and Ipswich first two games would be ideal. Wipe out the majority of any deduction then start mission survival proper. 2
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Preferably play some bigger teams at the start whose players are not available after an extended run at the euros 3
Tuna Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Can't believe we are going into this with no manager in place 2
Popular Post Chelmofox Posted 15 June 2024 Popular Post Posted 15 June 2024 (edited) Chelsea home. It has to be. Potter for us, Enzo for Chelsea. KDH's first stinker for Chelsea and Gallagher plays brilliantly for us. Palmer out from injury sustained in the Euros final England win. We semi lowblock them to a 1-0 shithouse win from a Fatawu screamer following Sanchez giving the ball away at the back. Edited 15 June 2024 by Chelmofox 4 2

Stuntman_Mike Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 These can't come out soon enough, I want to start planning some weekends away! On a separate note, have we ever had the fixtures out with no manager, no kit and no pre season games announced?

A more ideal situation is that they both have 2 hard games, get hammered twice then we face them.

Even so, I'd fancy our chances of getting something from both, over any established prem teams, especially Southampton who we do tend to score a few past in recent history.
filbertway Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Been told it will almost certainly be Everton away. Make of that what you will 1
Chrysalis Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Tough starts can set tone for the season. Definitely want an easy start.
Silebyfox_89 Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 Chelsea first match away i reckon. Liverpool on boxing day or New Year's day. Brighton at home to finish. 1

And imagine if we lost both games before playing any 'proper' PL teams.

Trust me, you won't feel like we are in the championship when you feel the price rises, we are last on match of the day every week and have to put up with the absolute total c*nt (i wish i could find a stronger word but can't) that is VAR and your goal celebrations are muted after a 5 minute check 🤣 1
fazzyfox Posted 15 June 2024 Posted 15 June 2024 (edited) My order is usually:- First game (ideally home) / First home game Last game “We might (will) need a result” Boxing day (Don’t know why as there’s no transport from my tin pot town on that day but it used to be relevant. If Amazon are showing it I can at least picture myself watching it at home with a Turkey roll buffet and a chocolate Orange) Game nearest to birthday (although this can be F.A.Cup 3rd Round) Game on likely Record Store Day weekend as I do the overnight camp out with no sleep so would prefer it to be an away that I can’t get to rather than go 2 days without sleep to see the home game. London away games - I can easily get to these but as I don’t have many away points I won’t necessarily be able to get a ticket but hey that’s fair enough when others travel far and wide for every away game. Forest At home Chelsea at home this season Ipswich at home because my train will be full of Ipswich fans unless they travel up by tractor Games that clash with gig tickets. Games that clash with Wedding dates (I’ll just leave her standing at the Altar) It’s basically an order of play that will be announced, the dates and times won’t be. “The dates and times”, my real hope is for 9 or more Saturday 3 O’Clock but we won’t know that until next May. You really wanted my life story when you asked that simple question didn’t you! Edited 15 June 2024 by fazzyfox
