I got really really ****ed off for a period when they stopped the UFS mental health support flyers yet id look out from my seat and see board after board of that BC Shame shite all over the place.

Spot on.

These dodgy gambling sites being allowed to sponsor clubs are an absolute stain on football. The financial and emotional devastation they cause are heartbreaking, and accepting their dollar (or baht) for sponsorship is no better than running out with Marlboro emblazoned across our shirts.

What makes it even worse is the fact that Annie Ashton, whose husband Luke was a Leicester fan and took his own life due to gambling addiction, is a prominent campaigner for awareness of the issue.

If the club had the care for the community they claim they have, they'd tell BC Shame to **** off and support Annie's campaign wholeheartedly before looking for another sponsor.

What makes it worse is I know @Ric Flair spoke with some journalists around it and they often told him that the reason there’s no real heat on this sort of thing is because the leagues and the media are so reliant on them. They won’t cut ties because of self interest

Not really sure what to say. But, feel like there is a big social justice point to be made regarding this. I can’t deal with the club churning out videos of our greatest ever player connecting with the community, when they are supporting a sponsor like this.

It's a sad state of affairs really. In the current climate, gambling and sport (particularly football) go hand in hand. What you also find is those of certain wealth are all connected one way or another.

By fulfilling the second year of the 2 year deal, the club are putting themselves in an extremely risky position (imprisonment, fines etc).

Route to get rid of rudkin atp.

This always amuses me. Where are these 'positive' comments? Responses to official posts always seem to be pretty disparaging.

Didn't someone say that we had the opportunity to be sponsored by Pepsico/Walkers and we turned it down because BC Shame offered slightly more?

So the ‘despicable’ issue here is the fact they don’t have a UK license to accept UK clients not the fact they are a gambling site?

11 of the 20 teams have front of shirt sponsors linked to gambling, 5 of which no longer have a UK licence Us, Wolves, Bournemouth, Fulham & Newcastle (Burnley also as they going up but) so the other 6 it’s ok sponsoring/advertising gambling is not the issue right?

Pepsico/Walkers sponsored us pennies in the previous deal that's why ties were eventually cut.

To be honest, a reasonable guide is when younger players legally aren't allowed to wear the same shirt as the rest of the team. That, to me, is an indicator that your sponsor is a bit dicey.

The ethical implications of having any gambling sponsor are huge, which is why all of the clubs you have cited will have to find new ones after next season when gambling companies sponsoring shirts is banned by the Premier League.

You would think that there would be UK companies who'd want to back UK clubs, or that the Srivaddhanaprabhas would have enough ties (pardon the pun) in their domestic market to find another sponsor. I'm honestly surprised that Air Asia have never sponsored us given the clear and obvious links, such as having a King Power and Leicester City branded aircraft.

Ooh I agree & it would be the same for an U16 playing for Villa or Brentford who haven’t been cited but some talk like we have sided with the devil but the reality is it’s just that our devil doesn’t have chit that’s all.
