it's the time of year they usually do the rainbow laces, football against homophobia fixture so I guess it's a pride shirt for that, but I'd rather you just called me a slur than make that shirt

He is apparently a “BC Game Ambassador” and have done PR for them recently. Probably has no idea who Ly-cess-ster City are.

What I don't get about this partnership with Adidas is that probably one of their most popular product lines at the moment is their Samba trainer range yet there's absolutely no sign of any club themed variants. They don't even need to be club branded, even a blue pair with either white or yellow stripes would probably sell like hot cakes, yet instead the club shop is stacked out with complete utter garbage that looks like cheap tat but is priced like mid tier designer gear. Very odd indeed.

Is it the last year of the Adidas deal?

Yes. With the new Commercial Director on board I have a feeling we might go down the 'own label' route like Wolves did.

I'll do a LONG read on this another time but essentially....

Levy Group (hospitality, catering, retail) set up a sports clothing division.... then Wolves created a white label brand out of this Levy offshoot and even invested in this new company (hmmmm)..... This was all at the same time Levy hired an ex wolves exec to run all this (hmmmm squared).

Basically meant to keep costs down to make the most money from kits. Also strikes me as another way to funnel a sponsorship 'deal' into a clubs accounts for FFP purposes.

I imagine the new commercial director is annoyed we've just signed a new catering partner as we might have gone "full levy"

What a year to make that change, when, according to footy headlines, we’d get the adidas trefoil on our away shirt next season.

There's just not a hope in hell that happens is there lol

I'm more concerned about the fact a lot of kit based decisions will have had to be be made with a CD or CEO in place. We could see massive delays in the summer as, if we were staying with Adidas, the kits would have been signed off by Feb latest.

That's why i'm leaning towards the new CD tapping into what he already knows with a Levy group model, as that will suit lastminute.com

I’m guessing these are shite quality polyester and would be very sweaty to wear for a game of 6 a side?
