Fair shout. I was totally wrong. Thought he had a bit more about him.

I also thought he would be a good deal more useful than he is. He's like a less skilful Perez and though Ayew is also very underwhelming he looks electric by comparison.

We’ve all done it.

Back in 2013 I was slagging off Pearson on here for playing Drinkwater & Vardy against Middlesbrough….

I think it might be a tad unfair on any of the new lads to be expecting too much from them given who they're playing under.  If this was Fats debut season we'd all be saying to send him back to Sporting given his start to this season.  Wingers and fullbacks especially seem to be struggling under Cooper.  So whilst at present, this is definitely an underwhelming beginning to his time with us, as it is with some of our other signings, it's still early and there's still (hopefully) a lot more to come from all of them.  These players weren't particularly exciting signings, but they were decent squad additions at their former, established Prem sides, so should be able to bring that across to us.  Though perhaps not under this gaffer.

Please don’t ever compare a young, up and coming player like Fatawu with Bobby de Cordova Reid. lol

I clearly didn't.

You used a hypothetical that is completely incomparable. Two completely different players on opposite ends of their careers. Fatawu would deserve patience because we know he hasn’t yet touched his ceiling. BDCR wouldn’t because he’s past his peak, which was much lower than what Fatawu has yet to achieve.

So when I said "if this was Fats debut season" it clearly negates the idea that they're not comparable. The point is that they are both performing poorly under Cooper.  And out of the 2, Reid has performed at this level before, Fats has not. It's a perfectly legitimate point which you've turned into a player comparison when it's obviously not what was being said.

There’s nothing in BDCR’s performances for us and tbh in his limited starts for Fulham last season that would suggest he has anything to offer at this level anymore. At this stage of his career based on the last 12 months he just looks lightweight, not particularly fast, not overly skilful and not great defensively. I’m not sure what he brings to this fight other than making up the numbers (very expensively) in training.

He's not a bad player at all. Against Tottenham he showed why he is a useful team member. Problem is the entire team is just nowhere. It's like going to work but having to do overtime everyday because the company is struggling. Nobody wants to do that. The players are rejected you see it the moment they walk out of the tunnel it's why the first half is so consistently sh*t. There's a useful player there but right now nobody has any idea what to do with this squad other than defend.

We are dealing with a manager who thought he was better than Stephy. It's quite unbelievable how anyone can draw that conclusion

To be fair, if you watched Mavididi today, I think most people would be championing their own grandmothers ahead of Stephy lol

bit harsh, we were defending 95% of the game, he's an attacking winger, not a midfielder or a full back
