No, because generally there isn't any. People were calling for him to be sacked during preseason.  You've made your mind up and no amount of wins is going to change your mind.

We're a newly promoted team with a new manager forced upon us due to circumstances beyond our control. It's obviously going to be a struggle. To pretend we can gung ho attack and win every game is ridiculous,  and any fair minded person would recognise that.

Why would anyone be happy having the failed manger of our biggest rivals, totally baffling.

I'm slowly coming round to how single minded/unconditionally biased this overhyped Cooper Out thread is. And boring. He has the dressing room, despite threads about him losing the players. Back your F-ing manager and stop spouting silly shit like, 'l'd sooner lose 4.0 if it gets him fired'. Come on Fox's we're just the best fans and LCFC has had such brilliant times lately. Celebrate the wins and good times, please.

Are you directing this at me specially or more generally?

What a surprise, you were also Enzo out whilst we were sitting top of the championship!

I won’t deny that I didn’t think Maresca would work in the PL. But I don’t like Cooper either. I’m resigned to the fact he’s not going anywhere…. To me he is like Steve Bruce was for Newcastle. If we stay up I’ll be fine with, but he can’t be the long term future of this club.

One idea I hate is this suggestion we need to disregard any of our recent experience and success, and accept we’re a ‘new PL’ team, because there’s enough experience and talent in this squad to be playing better than we are.

The last 2 results have been a massive bonus and certainly given him a bit of a safety cushion, however there are a lot of underlying concerns that are bothering me and suggest results are somewhat papering over the cracks, very similar to when Peter Taylor came in and in the immediate did pretty well but it only took one poor result for it all to unravel and this is my fear with Cooper, rumours of discontent amongst some of the players, established players being frozen out and in many games so far we have somehow ridden our luck to not be on the end of a bit a hiding.

sooner rather than later I can see a team taking full advantage of the numerous chances they create and we suffer a very heavy and morale sapping defeat and I can see it all crumbling pretty quickly.

should he be sacked off the back of two victories, absolutely not, but it does feel his credentials will be severely tested in the near future and he his limitations will be laid bare for all to see.

Generally, not about singling people out, hoping to emphasise a little objectivity

I've been to every home game - and that makes me feel worse about Cooper. When you are at games, you get to see all the problems close up, like abysmal team selections, subs being left too late, the defensive problems caused by the lopsided Cooper formation, or Abdul Fatawu being inexplicably left on the bench unused while a rain sodden 39 year old Ashley Young gets left to go about his business unbothered for 90 minutes as we are desperately chasing the game against Everton.

I find a lot of the "Oh, you are just being negative for no reason" chat on here is from people who don't watch games at all, they just look at the results for 2 seconds and go - "see, it's fine, I don't know what you are complaining about. We're aiming for 17th/were in League 1 not long ago/have a shit squad/what do you expect" etc.

A friend who never misses a game is ok-ish with Copper and a good friend, 1 of 3 who sit together, are all prepared to see how he goes over the next few games. None of them and others I sit next to sound like this Cooper Out thread.

As a manager he really frustrates me, I hate the lopsided asymmetrical fullback. Or more to the point I don’t think we’ve got the players to excel in that formation. When I say that it doesn’t mean I’d longing for an inverted fullback, or Tika-Taka or monopolising the football.

You have to play with a level of pragmatism in the Premier league, but that surely starts with playing your best players in their best positions.

We have got the squad to play a rather basic 4-2-3-1. Fast direct wingers, and a young number 10 who is technically excellent and can lead the press. We can be solid, while carrying a threat on the break. And in games we do have more of the ball we’d carry a threat on both flanks.

I’ve been quite adamant he’s not the man to take us forward, but at the moment in time I wouldn’t want to change him. He’s got the players grafting and there’s definitely a togetherness, and that is more often than not enough to keep the points total ticking over

But all that aside I absolutely bloody loved the last 30 minutes yesterday, hopefully he’s stumbled on a formula, it’s no surprise our best sustained attacking performance of the season coincided with 2 wingers on the pitch

deluded?  sounds like you are tbf; you must watch the games with your eyes closed,

im purely going on what ive seen from Cooper in regards is tactics/player selection etc, the players have shown they are more than good enough already this season imo, we had some really good spell against Spurs, Villa, Palace, Bournemouth, Southampton

did i say dominate? no, we give teams too many chances, look back at the games and not just the highlights ffs, far too open at times at the back; not changing things early enough in games, the right hand side issue

we have been in every game.....but hanging on, look back at them, as said in this thread already look at @StriderHiryubreak down of Cooper's tactics etc, youll see hes not good enough

and your saying huge credit to cooper? really? more like huge credit to Hermansen

and when forest fans say they kept hold of him for too long, then something up, cos they love the guy

but i guess cos we was in league 1 in 2008 we should know our place etc

If Hermansen does well you also have to give credit to the manager - just as you would slaughter Cooper if Hermansen made a string of errors.

The fact Hermansen has to do well is down to how the team are set up in front of him. Of course if he has a great game (arsenal for example) and makes multiple saves because the team are set up wrong you can blame the gaffer of course you can.

If he has a shitter and lets 2 goals in from shitty shots that should be saved, that's on him not the gaffer.

You may hate it, but it’s a fact in part at least, yes we have some of the folks who were there before, we have the infrastructure, but we also have players who were not previously Premier League players, and even those who were may have suffered the indignation of a relegation to contend with.

However, I do agree that our recent experiences must also in turn help us with those who have been there before.

Annoying thing for me is people’s constant negativity about sacking him yet we are 13th in the league who gives a shit if we have been lucky if he needs to be sacked it’s not because we think our luck will eventually run out but at the point where it does. A lot of our miserable fans thought that we would get less points than Derby so give it a rest

Still possible. We still need to lose 30 more games. ~ Some optimistic FT willy puller

It is negative though. You’re on a forum after 2 wins on the trot raging and venting about this and that. Can’t you just enjoy the moment regardless of if you have issues with the manager? I know I can!

The thought of being angry after 2 wins on the trot says everything and anything about you. I’m enjoying it whilst it lasts!

There is a time and place to vent and be genuinely frustrated and call for the managers head aka Brendan in his last season.

But I just think modern football fans are inherently negative with short fuses. I don’t want to call you out, but you were one of many calling for Maresca to be sacked last season whilst we were top of the league! Look at those poll results! The same fans are now reminiscing over him. Fickle!

On the 12th April, hadn’t we just lost back to back games against relegation threatened teams, looking like the wheels were falling off?

The start of our Championship season, was definitely better than the end of it. The style we used whilst it was one dimensional, at least it had effective tactics. Ultimately he got us over the line but it was tense!

The fact is, unless Cooper plays to the strengths of this squad, we are going to struggle to get enough points to remain in this league. We are out performing what I’m seeing with my own eyes at the moment. Hermansen is keeping us in this league.

Watching Coopers Leicester these last two games, was like watching a boxer get battered for 11 rounds, then getting an unlikely knockout punch.

It is painful viewing if I’m being true.

@Mon.is.a.god kept receipts. Top work fella. If they were baying for Enzo's blood and Coopers after back to back wins you have to imagine that only pep coming in and completing an unbeaten season might satisfy their need to moan about everything for a few weeks.

Is the reaction on here to losing 3-0 to Barnsley under NP wholly representative of how people eternally feel about his time at the club then?

Any idiot can pick out an overreaction to two consecutive awful results (and before you start yeah I probably said something stupid after the Plymouth and Millwall games too, doesn't mean there was a consistent call for him to go from those same people).

Cooper still won't build a solid foundation here no matter how much we will it that it he could. Is there a point staying up this season to be in the same position the next when we lose Buonanotte and he signs more Championship tat?

Benched Fatawu against the team and the full back he scored a hatrick against last season. That and giving him 5 minutes against 39 year old Ashley Young. The manager is just a clueless c*nt unfortunately

I think those who wanted him gone and for us to make a real stab of playing some decent football this year have had their hopes quashed by those back to back wins.

History tells us that it has to be inexplicably bad in order for this board to act. It's conceivable now that we could only pick up a couple of wins between now and Xmas and still be competitive in the league table, which you'd assume would be enough for the board to give him the Jan transfer window.
