For what it's worth, and I don't expect anyone to have to believe me but since you mentioned it, I had heard in reasonably good authority, that the players had a bit of an honest chat with him at half time against Southampton and that led to the complete overhaul to the set up last night.

I'm sort of on the fence about it, in one respect fair play to him for listening and not doubling down as I actually think it worked for the first 45, but on the other hand it doesn't fill me with confidence the players are dictating things, and when forest got wise to the tactic he was a bit lost because its not really who he is as a manager.

Perhaps that's just what happens in the modern game though with players, not really sure 🤷‍♀️

Get that tin foil hat on brother, those incapable of taking things with a pinch of salt won’t like this.

No idea why he has changed it, if anything we should have gone with a back 3.

Nuno clearly sussed us out as we was getting a lot of joy down the middle in the first half, he made the change and they battered us second half.

Not specifically you, but loads wanted the 2 wingers to play together and Ricky to start, pushing up into mid as part of a back 4. Now it's a back 3 and our wingers looked quiet last night.

You know what, I'll defend Cooper if he brings Fats on and he turns the game around whilst the mases wanted Fats to start and it's a stunning F up....worst 2nd half so far this season after starting with fans best 11.

I remember looking down at the touchline when we were behind again and there was Cooper along with 3 backroom staff all standing there in a row across the technical area wondering what the hell to do. He did not have a scooby once Plan A was out the window. His subs showed that

To be fair though the odds mean nowt, when we axed Rodgers no one knew until just before it broke.

Can’t really blame him for last night it was 3 individual errors that caused the goals, I do think we need to get Coady on the pitch though maybe in a back 3.

Aye but Forest hit the post twice, Yates missed a sitter and had two other chances as well

Think he played the occasion last night and saw it as a way to get the fans on side

Was probably practicing his cringey fist bumps in front of the corner all week

After nearly six years after his death, Vichai would probably be angry with certain after aspects of the club..

No.

It was admittedly a tongue-in-cheek post, but it wouldn't surprise me if certain 'fans' wanted Steve to struggle further to move him on.

What a weird statement, just a very silly assumption, and not helpful, most people want him gone because of the issues around team selection, team performances, in game management, etc, I suspect no one wants us to lose on purpose, SC is a nice guy by the looks of it, I'd love to see him succeed, but I just think he is out of his depth that's all.

I tend to agree that he should have just stick to what he has been doing as to an extent results wise it has worked, letting the fans or players dictate the start eleven is something a manager should never do.

Your over thinking things, the second half last night was a horror show, SC cannot motivate this team to put in a 90 mins shift, evidenced by every match so far including pre season which is relevant, for that reason alone he should go.

As for being well clear of the drop, we are only a couple of losses away from entering it, I bet you were one of the ones saying we would be ok, the season we got relegated, with a far better squad than we have now, I'm not expecting  a top half finish either, I'll settle for staying up, but we got to start seeing some 90 mins performances with an identity surely, I think secretly deep down we all knew he wouldn't be good enough, especially after Enzo's impact.

I was actually one of the ones saying we could be in trouble the season before we got relegated, and but for a clutch of wonder goals at the start of the season, we probably would have been.

I think you are under thinking things. You seem to think the bottom 4, who don't have a win between them are suddenly going to win twice in the next 2 games? Of course a win or two will tighten things up for someone, but if anyone is saying they expected us to have more than 9 points from 9 games and be more than a couple of points outside the relegation zone is delusional. And they are applying a delusional standard to the manager.

Of course I expect to play more consistently over 90mins, but I think it's unrealistic to complain about the points total we have actually managed to accrue.

Hoping Jordan Ayew would change the game 🤣

On reflection, it was probably Coopers best first half with us, but also worst second. He’s usually been much better second half and that’s got us a few decent results. But you’re right he needs to manage this squad in a much better way.

Maybe he’s right to be a bit more negative hoping we can hold teams and then open up second half (the thrive in the chaos/moments theory). Because last night showed he is incapable of getting the balance right to be positive from the start. And perhaps we have also been a bit guilty thinking we can do that (we clearly can’t currently because the defence and full back areas are a shambles).

And, finally, if he wanted to appease the fans with his selection last night - a) **** you for posturing to the fans and not doing what you think is the right thing (this speaks to the reports he consults players on selection…) b) you really think that’s the game to do it in 😡

yea, and they're the same clowns currently defending Cooper, because they'd rather lose pluckily playing hoofball than play football

So you think the 'Enzo out' lot are now the 'Cooper in' lot?

I find that difficult to believe. I would actually love to see a poll on that... I'm genuinely curious!

Last night was the fans favourite team, playing the Enzo way and let's face it we got a good spanking from our nearest rivals. I'm not blaming cooper for that, he gave us what we wanted.

Doesn't really bother me who's in charge, we're just well short of where we need to be right now. We're still a great championship side, but that doesn't mean we're any good in the prem. All we can do is hope to stay up and build for the future.

Cooper maybe gone if we're out the cup, and lose to Ipswich. But I can't see anyone different in charge is going to get a great deal more from this team, you can only polish a turd so much. It's clear to me, mav and fats are struggling at this level. Maybe they'll come good in time, but do we have that??

If (and I understand it’s an if) players are dictating formation, style and set up. That’s a massive red flag.

Thought winks post match interview was quite telling.
