Just to say I agree with everything you’ve posted, but if anyone did go after random jewish people, seeking retribution, then that’s vile.

Agreed, awful behaviour all round from both sides, but one side seems to be getting completely excused.

First time I’ve seen the media defend football hooliganism, wonder what the reason is for that?

Steady on Adolf

What you're saying is true btw, you're just not supposed to say it.

Perhaps some elaboration rather than mere innuendo is called for here for the sake of clarity, then?

People are just utterly sick of seeing that psychopath Netanyahu murder thousands  of women and children, while simultaneously slowly occupying more and more of internationally recognised Palestinian territory (West Bank & Gaza), and making more and more grandiose statements about how Gazan’s aren’t allowed back to their homes. Then his merry men here, go to a foreign city, aggravate the local population including the Muslim population and then start crying and hiding behind the anti-semitism tag the moment a single person starts to criticise the sick rhetoric behind it all. All while our politician’s wave it through, while lecturing us about ‘international rules based order’ when it comes to Russia, which not incidentally is undermining the Ukraine cause within western populations because we can see through the mad hypocrisy.

I get that they have a commitment to Israel given the atrocities committed against their state since its inception as well as the horrific treatment of Jews in WW2. People going around asking Jews if they have Israeli citizenship is also sick and those people should be jailed. I am an advocate of a two state solution, you will never catch me saying anything about from the river to the sea. I simply want justice for the innocents being murdered by the sick evil Israeli regime and peace for all whether the people are Palestinian or Israeli, Muslim or Jew.

Well said. :appl:

The bolded in particular is important; the events of this week prove that.

Sad news, only 69 too. Such a great sinister presence in so many films, besides Candyman.

He's reached his Final Destination.

The lies told by governments and media about Northern Island deceived millions, there are reasons behind why they are told. Governments and media lie even bigger about this and even more are deceived.

Don’t most countries downplay their crimes committed abroad though? The whole thing is a very sad and avoidable affair when you read the history books.

Israel could drop a nuke on Gaza and kill all of them and they'd still get backing by their daddy USA. No other country has this crazy stranglehold on the US. Europeans are terrified of criticising Israel. A lot of European leaders hate Muslims anyway but even the Left leaning ones like Starmer will never ever strongly condemn Netanyahu. It'll be all about "Israel have the right to defend itself" nonsense.

They’ve already dropped the equivalent of 7 nukes on Gaza in terms of explosive power (obvs not the radiation) in just over a year. Israel is ultimately America’s presence in the Middle East. While they have a strong Israel, they basically have free rein in the Middle East. Saudi is also interesting in the whole story. Their powers are shameful.

Their powers are what they are. It's the use of those powers that is abhorrent.

Proof is in the pudding!

My post was removed.

Whoever the moderator was, I'd welcome an explanation for why it was removed.

This type of censorship is a big part of what drives antisemitism and makes me very suspicious of anything pro-Israel or anything that uses claims of antisemitism as a way to silence people.

Yeah honestly nothing you say on this site is gonna change anything. Use your angry energy to help out at a collection for the Palestinian cause or even your local food bank.

I’m not a moderator, but surely they remove it because such content has the potential to cause great anger and friction between users, as well as potentially leaving the site open to outside attack from people who don’t like what they read, on either side of the debate. Don’t treat it as a personal attack, or a declaration on either side. It’s just some poor b*stard trying to keep a football fan site running and not descending into deeply and emotionally held arguments that have frankly been raging for thousands of years without getting any closer to an answer.

Plus the potential for litigation.

Okay I understand this, and fair enough.

However, even on FT there is inconsistency in what is allowed to be discussed and what is not, so the broader point stands: always question things you are told you cannot question. I'm glad to see the public in many Western countries is starting to remove the wool from their eyes when it comes to Israel and Jewish interests.

Anyway, boo, Cooper out, etc etc.
