I completely disagree with this…

Firstly Ruud has probably had about 13 days on the training field with the lads, the team has been transitioning from Cooper’s clueless football to Ruud’s ideology.

We couldn’t defend for toffee, we were conceding goals and chances like no tomorrow, so Ruud has had to address that, which initially means you may have to focus on the defence a bit more, but we are still creating chances, I would be more worried if we weren’t creating any chances at all. The wolves game was a complete tactical **** up, starting Ward was a huge error, but Ruud can’t really be blamed all that much, as he has only had a limited amount of time with the players. In isolation, that Wolves game was the worst day he has had.

Newcastle have one of the most formidable midfield and attacks in the league, Liverpool are looking like they will eventually be champions (but I can genuinely see Forest challenging them if they get a decent striker in), Man City are struggling but still a class side…. To suggest there’s no style must mean you’ve spent the last two games with your eyes closed…. Because it’s clear the roots are starting to appear….. Man City was the best performance this season, albeit for two defensive lapses and some wasteful finishing…..

I argue that the current signs are progressive, performances are key and generally bar Newcastle and Wolves we’ve improved, with some decent business over the next few weeks we could alright. As for Ipswich, they got battered last night, it’s a complete fluke of a result, and doesn’t define the season…… we could go to Villa and get something, they’re not the force a lot of people think they are and with a stroke of luck and a decent performance we’re capable of upsetting them. And then we’ve got a hand full of games we could get points from…. I’d take a run taking points off the teams around us, over a one off win over Chelsea.

Despite the disaster fixation that’s going on, on this forum, the last two games have shown signs of improvement…. Defensively we’ve been better, we’ve looked more comfortable as a side and I think there’s the shoots of Ruud’s style showing.

As a fan base we need to be more positive, regardless of how bleak we think things are, a couple of weeks and the picture could be completely different.

but the truth is it won’t

Wolves deserve all they get for having probably the 3 worst football kits the premier league has ever seen

Mrs Spud noticed their kit and said thank God you're not a Wolves fan!

Football is just completely about the transition now isn’t it? Arteta’s lot getting found out too.

Not this half .

Brentford made a few errors .

Hoping they’re going into a run of bad form now before they play us.

Brentford have got a decent points tally so far, but they've basically used up 6 of their 7 easiest fixtures (ie 6 of bottom 7 at home). Their remaining fixture list essentially consists of the big 6/top half teams at home and those battling relegation away, neither of which will be easy in the second half of the season. That said, they don't need that many more points to be safe.

I'd don't think for a second they'll be in trouble, but it would be nice to actually play some sides in midtable who are bang out of form.

Will try and bait them:

Sick of the Forest love-in. People acting like Forest didn't sign 40 players in 18 months... break FFP regulations... and stay up with a pathetic points total due to Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United being absolutely diabolical.

Forest would be heading towards League 1 with spiralling debt if the 3 promoted clubs had anything about them last season.  Hardly a well run club.

You say to bait them but that is all spot on apart from the league 1 bit as that may or may not have been the case but the rest is true.

Sounds like it could be us except the 40 players bit

I know it's easy to get pissed off with our useless mob... but Southampton already signed this fella in the summer and Bournemouth have signed a youth prospect from the MLS....

I'd be more inclined to get annoyed about Juric adding new coaches to his team today

Harry Maguire staying at Man U now.

Bit of a turnaround for him from last summer .

Hes far from the worst of their problems. A good character to have around and they have now come down to his level.

Their recruitment strategy over the last 3/4 years makes John Rudkin look semi competent.

There's a huge irony in the fact that our training ground has state of the art rehabilitation kit that would really help someone with the bandy, injury prone legs he's got.
