Who are they dragging down to finish above, though?

Might be a surprise one like Brighton, only takes a bad appointment for someone like Bournemouth too. Not always simple.

I get why keepers pull out wide to show for the pass but there's no way they should in situations like that. One misplaced pass and it's a free goal. Saliba is turned away from the goalkeeper so there's no way that pass is ever on. Just get in your goal.

Palace played well.

Would have just easy for them not to bother trying .

Hope it's continues, it's Forest at home for them next in the league

They don't have much else to talk about. It’s been a pretty crap premier league season, let’s face it.

Yeah that's a lovely gesture from the owner but could he be less involved in corruption?

Actually, can most owners do that as well please?

Italy with it’s taste for corruption has a number of clubs what issue baby go kits to local hospitals

Bournemouth are looking to buy back their stadium with a view for redevelopment. The current capacity is 11.7k & they want to expand that to 20k with a further potential add on of 3k, it’s peanuts in the big scheme & just gets me thinking about how they are achieving to fall within PSR now and especially in the future, can anyone advise where they sit within the rules currently & where they receive their revenue from?

I know the easy answer is having a decent board and recruiting system but they are a premier league team with premier league overheads which only get more expensive with every season they are in.

The stadium is a large part of the revenue stream for most clubs, Leicester with 32k capacity still only make around 15m per season from it & it has the ability to be used for other footballing & non football events, how much can Bournemouth get from its current 11k capacity and even the proposed 23k, also is it used for any other event?

Man U & Spurs for example receive over 100m per season in returns on their stadiums, Everton will now also be generating a huge income from theirs, I get they also need to pay for these stadiums but at some point profit will out-way overheads/upkeep.

As I say it’s great having a decent board and to be careful about transfers and salaries but once an established premier league team as they are now there is no way of kerbing those costs, to stay you inevitably pay, so it just amazes me how they are funding this.

It's in a great location to expand too, pretty much just grass and trees for hundreds of yards around it.

Same way Brighton have done it. They'll lose 3 or 4 of that squad for the best part of 200m and only spend 50m on replacements.

The same way a certain other club used to finance themselves.....

Not watching the game but go on Everton get a goal towards the end of the match 🙏🏼 I got money on a draw 😁

Nah, at this point anything that minimises Forest's Champions League ambitions is the preferable outcome.

This is all that matters now.

Don't care if we get tonked in every game except the Forest one where we somehow shithouse a win or force a draw.

Yeah that’s why it seems even crazier as they are expanding without closing so it must be up not out & no fans village type affair, just another 10k seats. Revenue from that probably doesn’t even push them over the £10m mark 🤷‍♂️

But they don’t, they still buy players at 25-40m, this season they spent 127m fortunately offset by their sale of Solanke where they did manage to do a Leicester and stiff 64m out of Spurs somehow  but that was basically the only sale.

The season before another 127m spent with just a 1.5m sale, the season before that 83m spent & 0m sale 🤷‍♂️

They also like us must be offering incentives to sign for them, yes some will sign just to be in the premier league and will certainly use them as a stepping stone but pound to a pinch they are paying higher wages than they ever have and the longer the stay competitive that figure will rise, I just don’t see how they are keeping the right side of psr year on year.

Granted this summer it looks like they are going to get a bumper cash injection from possible sales but they will still spend a vast chunk of that to be competitive, and if they keep the manager he will certainly want money otherwise he’ll be off also.

Their wage bill is relatively small but I doubt there's any Chelsea-style creative accounting going on. A club like that has far fewer staff and overheads, the overall set up is smaller. Give their accountants a ring for a breakdown.
