I said PSG would knock them out.  The hype of the EPL continues.  Despite walking the league Liverpool lose to a side in a so called 'mickey mouse' league.  Wouldn't have made much difference if they had gone through, Liverpool aren't beating the spanish clubs.

The EPL is still comfortably behind La Liga.

I disagree, psg are hardly a Mickey Mouse club either, they look better than ever and at this moment wouldn’t surprise me if they win it. If you run into clubs like Madrid, Barca, psg, Munich, Dortmund it’s going to be tough regardless of how good you are in your respective league.

Not the first time Donnarumma has denied an English side on penalties then .

PSG were very good but Liverpool must be disappointed to not even find the net at home .

Is it? Spain will have the same number of teams in the CL QFs as England

There's a huge load being made of this but England on the coefficients is still number 1 for the year. PSG are a different kettle of fish to anyone else in Ligue 1.

If we look at likely teams in the Q/Fs of European competition; which includes a few 50/50s between Sociedad v Man U & Roma v Bilbao

England 4

Spain 4

Germany 3

Italy 4

I dunno. I used to believe the Premier League was hyped up about a decade ago, but in the last 5-7 years Man City and Liverpool have really made the league better in quality. You think that in that time Man City (twice), Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool (three times) have all played in the Champions League final. Liverpool played in back to back finals under Klopp which is rare these days unless it's Real Madrid.

At the end of the day Liverpool are the best team in England currently and they lost to the best team in France. PSG are hardly pushovers regardless of the perceived lack of quality in their league. Tbh it's about time PSG won it and I wouldn't mind seeing Enrique win it.

This is probably true.

The player who has destroyed epl defences, looked out of his depth in both games.

Not necessarily tonight (yet) but Trashford has shown more of his quality as a footballer in about 6 games in a Villa shirt as he has 4 years at Man Utd

To be fair he scored 17 league goals in 22/23

I know, but even then I thought he was overhyped

He looks a genuine threat every time he gets the ball in a villa shirt. May be something to do with playing with better players too though tbf

Is this co commentator on CBS related to Sid Wadell.....it's brilliant!

It wouldn't be Mark Clattenberg? His accent isn't in the Sid Wadell strong but definitely noticeable North East.
