Don't you get it, if you criticise anyone to do with the club youre irrational and just piling on with the rest of the fans.

I don't think 1 4 1 4 formation is working with the players he's using. it's not just that the defence is poor Skippy as a stand alone DM is just not good enough we need a better stand alone DM or we need to move to 4 2 3 1. 

based on Saturday we may as well have ditched Cullen and played some one else along side Skippy or drop back Braybrooke and play a new number 8/10.

Think you meant to say "The only rational people on this forum are the people that agree with me 100%". And that's not a dig at you, that's just the general state of the forum now and a mindset we're all guilty of at the moment. And it does all stem from those people who've buried their heads in the sand about KP, as it's just caused the negativity the other way to go to the extreme (in the cases when it shouldn't, as well aware that the most negative viewpoint has often been an assessment of the reality). Unfortunately some people are now blinded by their hatred, that even if one of crap players does stuff well, they still say that it was awful.

 

To be fair, it just parallels modern society where you're not allowed a nuanced opinion, especially on the internet.

Yes, it's the obvious thing. Or if you must play him, at least let Braybrooke play in a double pivot with him. Wasting Sammy's best skills in this role when he should be dictating games. Problem is, we've got absolutely no physicality in this team so, inexplicably, Skipp is the one to 'provide' that

Skipp from memory doesn’t stand out in either.

 
It’s ok to admit that Skipp has been financially an awful signing.

 

He doesn’t appear to be a douche like Winks, Faes and Jannik etc but he’s one of many reasons, as to why we have declined so much since Cooper.

Skipps cost was a combination of Spurs pushing their luck with an excessive over valuation .... and the total brain dead gullibility of Leicester City..... hopefully they have included a sell at a lost clause in the deal

People explode after 1x 90 minutes with a thread for just about every player other than the 3 academy (but give it time) & there’s even a Martin out thread after 1 game 🤦‍♂️ , if Carlsberg did over dramatics then it still wouldn’t come anywhere close to Foxestalk.

We need a new DM we all get it just like we need probably 3 new CBs but do we have to hear it every single day, why can’t someone ask themselves why we haven’t got a new new DM or 3 new CBs and then have that 💡 moment.

In this system whoever is in his position has to basically be a rugby scrum half, always offering for a pass, recycle quickly and setting the tempo of the entire side. It is essentially the most important position in the system. The batteries in the watch. 

 

I have defended Skipp, the price tag is not his fault and was inflated due to the Maddison sale, PSR fiddling. But truth be told, if we signed him for £10-15m it would of been too much.

 

His ONLY saving grace last season was the effort he showed. Yesterday he looked like he was 2 stone overweight, hungover and not anywhere near fit. I hope the manager either roasts him back to the effort and speed required, or finds a place on the bench or out of the club as soon as possible.

 

It is absolutely criminal that these players who were with us in the Premier League, and Skipp when we signed him was an established Premier League midfielder, struggle in League One. I know its one game and I hope he pulls it around. The only thing that hides a lack of talent is effort and if he isn't putting in 110% every week. He should quickly find himself on the bench. 

 

I just hope someone silly enough stumps up an acceptable fee so we can rid ourselves of another in a long list of failed multi-million pound signings.

A 5’9”  potential ball playing centre back who lacks presence, pace, ability in the air and isn’t actually that good on the ball.

He's brings nothing to the team. Last season JJ showed how superior he was to him and now Braybrooke is doing the same. If we can't get rid of him, he should be used as a squad player not an automatic starter. Bring Page in for him and have a Sammy/Page CM.

I don't rate Skipp but he would be a lot better on the ball than Okoli and Souttar as a centre back. Especially with him only having to worry about what's in front of him.

 

Our main threat defensively at the moment is ourselves losing the ball in our own box, so I'm more worried about that than I am about Skipp being too short.

 

Also the one thing he has done well here are last ditch tackles in the box, so it would be playing to his strengths. Another benefit would be it keeps him out of our midfield.

Choudhury is the better player at this stage and I’m not even a fan. Needs to leave because he’s sinking by the hand

I just cannot fathom how little he stands out even at that level. What league does Skipp have to drop to to look like a blatantly better player than his opposition?

 

This injury he had at Tottenham has completely killed him as a player. He could easily go the way of a Dele Alli.
