What I'm querying is the inevitable fee we're going to be slapped for. Nanasi and Gronbaek have delivered just as much, if not more than El Khannouss so far in their respective leagues and Europe and gone for half what Bilal will cost. We get done time and time again but as long as it's under €25m I'll be happy to have him. No offense, but Gronbaek played in Norway (which is quite honestly a lower level than the Belgian first division), and the same goes for Nanasi who played in Sweden. Not to mention the fact that El Khannouss is only 20, three and two years younger than these guys respectively, and has already established himself as a pivotal player at a top club in a higher standard league. 5 2
Jattdogg Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 If by the third bid they haven't accepted, move on. Find someone else.
Haywood_6 Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 This is going to turn into another ridiculous saga like Zaha and Hlozek isn't it 1

Both leagues are a bit of a downgrade from Belgium's top league I agree, but they've been up there with the leagues standout players, done well in Europe and internationally Nanasi has started well. The fee we'll pay doesn't represent El Khannouss being twice the player of them. 2

Excellent dribbler, great flair, great vision, very much the playmaker type. Someone who can create something out of nothing. Main question will be whether you're financially able to grab him as Genk want somewhere between 30 and 35M I believe. He's forcing the issue though, refusing to train now. Just as an addition, that doesn't mean he has a bad character. As far as I'm aware, he was promised that he could move to a better league/club. Promised him a better club and in walks Leicester City FC.... The poor f****r. 7
-sodapop Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 It's going to end up around 24 million pounds + sell-on I reckon, which is nose wateringly steep if he doesn't come out the traps an absolute superstar. Doesn't seem like a player who'd be up for a season in the championship either

It seems pretty difficult to get good value from the highly rated talents around Europe as a PL club.

They are both great talents but bilal el khanous literally got olympic medal. Also he is literally one of the most highly rated young attackers in europe. Accept the fact thats nothing to write home about really imo, football at the olympics is laughable 1 minute ago, KlaaZ said: No offense, but Gronbaek played in Norway (which is quite honestly a lower level than the Belgian first division), and the same goes for Nanasi who played in Sweden. richardsfoxes Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 Please Leicester, him and a Striker. Then we can focus on the season.
Edingleyfox Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 (edited) Wonder what the counter proposal will be? Guess 22m Euros plus 3m add ons. 25 million euros or £21 million equivalent? Edited 26 August 2024 by Edingleyfox
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 How many gold stickers do they want? The biggest thing I get from this is, can we include Rudkin in our bid, with Dimitri De Conde coming the other way as an add-on, for £40m?
Simonb Posted 26 August 2024 Posted 26 August 2024 Either pay what they want or move on. They don't want to negotiate.. simple as A player in this mould, a striker and ideally a LB if doable

We don't give a shit because of the whole Team GB thing but other nations hold it in high regard. Especially in South America. 1
