Entire transfer has gone totally predictably, again, to amateurs like me. How are these people professionals?

I think sometimes people miss the point on Ayew. There are far worse players who have played for Leicester than him. That is not in dispute.

At his absolute peak he was an average player in a poor/average Premier League side. As soon as Crystal Palace had aspirations of mediocrity they quickly got rid of a now ageing player well past his prime.

He was never going to make a difference in a squad desperate for a sprinkle of quality to stay in the Premier League. That much was obvious before he signed. At least a gamble on a younger player would have given us hope even if it ultimately didn’t pay off. Ayew delivered exactly what was expected - performances that would never be good enough to lift a poor team.

He was and is a shockingly bad signing, a waste of a squad place and a waste of money. Not the worst player in the team by any stretch, but a signing symptomatic of the muddled mismanagement that we’ve now come to expect from the club

Perfect summary.

Agree with all this but I have to caveat it with, we were so so poor last season that he was one of our better players!

I actually think Ayew would be pretty decent in the championship. We should keep unless we get an offer... which i doubt!

Clearly not not a premier league player, so let him go at the end of his contract.

Ayew is absolutely the least if our concerns this summer..

I agree with this, as much as he is frustrating I think he'd do a very good job in the championship.

Would prefer to see him starting upfront the first game than Daka.

This is probably more a reflection on how shit a squad we have, but Jordan Ayew was the least of our problems this season.

He'll be a good player in the Championship. I think he could still play in the Premier League too but he has to be used right - And he wasn't here.

He should be used as the 4th winger. The sort of player that can do you a job here and there, will work hard and win you fouls, headers etc.

Trouble was we relied on him to be the primary creator/goalscorer which was just mental.

In a Championship side with Mavididi, Fatawu, Monga etc he'll be fine.

good player, nobody did themselves any favours last year, if a striker gets no service how can they perform well ?

Personally i think his hold up play and occassional eye for a goal wll work well for us next season

Stick him upfront in the Championship and he may cause problems. He can find the net

To be fair to him I never got the impression he wasn't trying and put in a shift. It's BDCR which was a complete bag of shit in my view.

Ayew is certainly a better option than Daka

oh dear god we haven`t still got Daka have we ? now i`m depressed

His hold up play was one of the things that stunk out the team.  If he controlled the ball,  he held onto it for too long, usually in the direction away from goal, ignored simple passes and fell over.

He will play exactly the same, shit.

And his obsession with wanting to win a free kick all the time.

Stick him up top. He's so good at holding the ball up and diving for free kicks. Opposition defenders won't be able to get the ball.

We should be selling any of the higher earners if there’s a chance to do so as none of them actually are worth the wages we are paying. A financial reset is so needed for the club to recover & start to move forward again.

Stick him on the fvcking bin.

This is a player that absolutely screams of settling for 4th best.  The desperation of some people trying to convince themselves that he’ll ‘do well in the Championship’ is horrible to read.

He’s crap and the talk of keeping him just brings awful memories back of people saying shit like, ‘as soon as Barry Hayles is fit again, we’ll be alright’.

We’re literally preparing ourselves for a decade of dogshit.

Is Barry available?

I bet the phone is ringing off the hook to try and sign our shit high earners.

It must be like trying to get through to the doctors at 8am, with clubs trying to get through to make bids for Ayew, Vestergard, Daka, Soumare and Cordova Reid.
