Popular Post orangecity23 Posted 5 June 2025 Popular Post Posted 5 June 2025 If he did get any offers from other clubs, he'd probably be checking out the walking distance between their car park and training pitchs before he could decide if he could be arsed to walk that distance. I'm half convinced the "good at winning free kicks" thing is a skill he's developed to get out of having to run with the ball. 3 2

His lack of athleticism means there's no danger of him outrunning anyone so might as well make the most of it, let them come to him instead and then hit the deck like a sack of shit. Not necessarily a bad trick to have up your sleeve but unfortunately it's more or less the only one he has.

Claridge Posted 5 June 2025 Posted 5 June 2025 one of our better players this year. Not saying much i know, but better than loads of others 3

"the cock tease"
SafewayFox Posted 6 June 2025 Posted 6 June 2025 The Ayew rumour before he signed was depressing. His overall performances were average at best. Him playing in the Championship on a large wedge is our reality, poor planning and a dislikable squad.
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 6 June 2025 Posted 6 June 2025 If he was happy to stay and we could afford to keep him I think he would be a good option off the bench. Whilst he may not have the legs, he does have a good football brain and I think he would bring some calm onto the pitch if we needed it. If I had the choice, I’d keep him over Daka. 1

He 100% gives that vibe, and reckon his dad at 60 would have been a better option for us last season. 1
Popular Post Bordersfox Posted 10 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 August 2025 Thought he did really well second half. Involved in lots of good stuff. Yeah ridiculous money for a player his age but I can't help but like him.. 6
OntarioFox Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Unlucky not to score and that run for Daka's chance, holy moley. Soumare apologists claim he has that in his locker, but a carthorse like Jordan was able to bulldoze his way further down the wing in one game than Boob has in his entire sorry career for us. He's going to have a good season. 1
fox_up_north Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Fair play to him. Works hard and deserved a goal
Hales Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 beast mode second half....he has to start behind a striker.. 2
Brainy Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Cult hero by the end of the season, then we'll give him an extra 3 years 1
Nods Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Played well. Would rather see Bilal on set pieces, mind.
Popular Post Guest Posted 10 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 August 2025 I thought he was pretty ineffectual for much of the game but later on, particularly once they were down to ten and Daka was alongside/ahead of him, he was very good. I do think he'll probably have a role to play for us this season but if that role is our first-choice striker it is going to be a problem. 6
Richmondfox Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Standard Ayew. Can’t hold the ball up, just smashed it back. Hit and hope from everywhere ignoring players in space and when he does a good run, holds onto the for too long looking for a foul rather than being others into the game. He won’t change and I don’t expect anything different other than a goal or two. 1 1
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Yeah the issue has never been application or attitute, more the fact we spent actual money on him and he's a year or two away from being in an urn on someone's mantlepiece 2
Sly Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 The performances first and second half were night and day. He’s better in a two behind Daka personally.
The Doctor Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 his set pieces are ****ing dogshit but he at least looks capable of being mediocre at this level.

However he’s here now and will do well in this league. 1
MonarchFox Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 He's gonna be more important than people think. I'm not saying he should be our first choice striker. Quality players keep the ball and he does this, especially at this level 1
Stadt Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 He’s not a striker, he was everywhere but where he should be and he slows too many attacks down. He had some good moments but overall he was hinderance to our attacks. As soon as as Daka was on and moving like an actual striker we caused more problems. 3
moore_94 Posted 10 August 2025 Author Posted 10 August 2025 Shouldn’t be playing upfront But then it is a question of how to get both him and Bilal in to the side when we also hopefully get a proper striker 1
Lambert09 Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Good game from him today. Great work in the second half
Nolucklcfc Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 He’s never deserved the boos last season and some of the abuse he’s got. He’s not perfect but he absolutely works his arse off whenever I see him. Probably be quite important this season.
