STUHILL Posted 11 August 2025 Posted 11 August 2025 Needs to be a backup No.10 and will be useful at this level. I'd hope he isn't a starter for us when the window closes though. Fantastic last 30minutes from him yesterday. Although, get him off corners and free kicks FFS!

Ian Nacho Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 No idea why he's taking a pen like that when he can strike the ball relatively well . 1
orangecity23 Posted 13 August 2025 Posted 13 August 2025 Just now, Ian Nacho said: No idea why he's taking a pen like that when he can strike the ball relatively well . So immobile he couldn't be arsed to do more than a 2 step run-up.

goog Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 (edited) On the floor more times than on his feet. Our Number 9 Vardy-----Ayew.... It's embarrassing Edited 16 August 2025 by goog

Guest Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 Not the only one but he should be genuinely ashamed of that performance and the club should be equally ashamed that we've started the season with this utter plank as our starting "striker"
The Doctor Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 Just 318 days until his contracts up, can't wait. 4
JR99 Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 (edited) Does really well at times holding the ball up, getting the team up the pitch, then all he has to do is pick a pass to one of the 3/4 players in space... but time and time again he seems desperate to do it on his own and get a shot off regardless. I lost count of the number of times today I was screaming at him to release the ball, the worst occasion being when he decided turnung back and taking a shot from close to the touchline instead of laying it back to Winks to potentially make it 2-1 was a better decision. I just find him so f***ing frustrating Edited 16 August 2025 by JR99 1
HarryTheGenie Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 This bloke is everything that is wrong with this team. Shocking level of ability, he can hold the ball up, that is it, it means nothing if he doesn't bring others into the game by holding it up. He holds it up to draw fouls, would be useful if we were any good at set pieces. His attitude stinks, his face says he doesn't want to be here, his body language is appalling. He has been entrusted to lead the line in both league games and simply abandoned his post. Popping up in the hole, in defensive midifeld, on either wing, or just hiding anywhere else on the park. Him taking every set piece no matter where it is stinks (I don't know if this is on him or the coaching staff), his delivery on set pieces is honking. He wasn't good enough in the Premier League dogfight, he won't be good enough at any level in this league wheteher we are in the mix, midtable or another dog fight. He doesn't score goals at any level or even create chances. He gets into good positions where he attempts to shoot rather than pass (and 99% of his shots are blocked immediately), or pass when he should be shooting. Derelicts all responsibility, makes poor choices. This bloke won't score 5 open play goals in this league if he played up front for 46 games. Pathethic. The fact we gave Crystal Palace money for him and gave him a multi-year deal absolutely blows my mind. 4
South Shire Fox Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 (edited) Sort of player you bring on when trying to see out a game. Certainly not the player you want when chasing a goal. Taking Bilal off instead of him was strange Edited 16 August 2025 by South Shire Fox 1
Soar Fox Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 I can’t wait until he’s gone, absolutely despise the bloke. 4
Noahfence Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 I can’t believe you still get people on here defending him. He is ****ing shit and always will be 1
Happy Fox Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 It’s absolutely comedic he’s wearing the number 9 shirt, I bet Vardy is pissing himself with laughter.

It’s actually a disgrace. I got pelters for saying I thought he was shit against Wednesday. Bloke a greedy bastard, doesn’t get the ball moving quick enough, and clearly thinks he’s the best player on the team. The number 9 should be retired, Ayew isn’t fit to sniff the sweat around Vardy’s bollocks. Edited 16 August 2025 by Pliskin 2
coolhandfox Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 Ayew, Skipp, Okoli, BDCR, El Khannouss, 60m and only one of them is any cop. 1
Samilktray Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 Giving him the number 9 was amongst the worst things this club has done in the modern era 3
lee7 Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 He's one of those players that I've always struggled to like. He offers nothing as the lone striker and as I said in another thread we don't need to sign a world class striker but at the very least we should be bringing someone in who can score goals on a regular basis at this level. 1
Stadt Posted 16 August 2025 Posted 16 August 2025 Somebody who just actually plays up front would be an improvement- I’ve never seen anybody - even false nines - just completely vacate the area they’re supposed to be in. 4
