Noahfence Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 He will probably look unbelievable in the championship
Corky Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 It is like watching walking football most of the time then second half he gets a burst of pace out of nowhere to reach a ball.
Simonb Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Has a distinct lack of pace and mobility.. but he isn't as lazy as he looks. Proper hard worker. Holds the ball up well which is pointless in a team where it takes half hour to get players up the pitch That being said.. we need to do everything we can to get rid.. working hard is good, but ability wise he's way below what we need
Popular Post acb Posted 18 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 18 May 2025 The only player in the squad you can play a ball up to and it sticks. One of our most consistent players this season. Gets undeserved stick for some reason 13

teblin Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 Decent yesterday, had had some decent games. Not a winger anymore. Could see him as an option in games next season as a 9/false 9 with pace either side of him. 2
VictorFox Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 Think he only gets stick because of his age and the money spent on him If we’d signed him on a free everyone would say he’s had a decent season 2
Popular Post Sol thewall Bamba Posted 19 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 19 May 2025 Hate to say it but he's probably worth keeping around next season. Brilliant at drawing fouls and getting us up the pitch which is extremely useful in that league. 8

Always pissed off when he gets subbed off as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s into his agent trying to get a move, but could do a decent enough job for us.
AKCJ Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 (edited) He's a lazy bastard but I'm very sure he'll do well next season. Not the type to score 15-20 goals but he'll help let out wingers (our best assets) shine at that level. Edited 19 May 2025 by AKCJ
lcfc_forever Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 I think Ayew has been the worst of our signings by any means (looking at you BCR, Skipp, and Edouard) - you could argue he's been one of the better ones given the key role he's played in a few of our wins. His goals return for us is his best in years at a PL level.

LCFCJohn Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 Obviously I’d like us to shift BDR and Ayew but if Ayew plays more central, I’d be ok seeing him stay as long as BDR goes if we can only shift one as he offers far less than Ayew and is less versatile than Ayew given he only plays out wide where we have strength in numbers already. Same as at CB, I’d like us to shift Faes, Vestergaard and Coady but if we can shift the first two, Coady for the last year of his contract (same as Ayew) in the Championship I could tolerate.
Staffs Fox Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 (edited) He certainly wasn’t what was needed this season but if he’s still here, he’ll be great in the Championship, with him Mavididi, Fatawu and a new number 9 we should be ok in that part of the pitch. I wish I could say the same about the other parts though Edited 19 May 2025 by Staffs Fox
moore_94 Posted 19 May 2025 Author Posted 19 May 2025 If he is still here next season then hopefully he will look to go forward more and much quicker Quite a few times yesterday he would go backwards or when he did pass forward he just took ages to do it

This causes him to be given even less leeway with those watching. FWIW, I agree with those who suggest he'll be a decent asset in the Championship.

Fox92 Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 The best thing is that he can actually hold the ball. I have thought that all season. Probably our only forward option that can do it.

CosbehFox Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 His second highest goalscorer season at Premier League level
coolhandfox Posted 19 May 2025 Posted 19 May 2025 The issue has been with him or anyone else individually. The issue was playing him, Vardy and BCDR on the same side, due to the lack of pace and mobility
