He has no pace nor any ability to drive forward. When he gets the ball he has 3 options; go left, go right or fall over. He does hold the ball up well for sure, but this isn't the future for us. 4
Richard Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 He put a shift in today tbf. He just runs like he constantly has blisters and it royally pisses me off 3
OwnGoal Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Can’t see us being able to get rid so stuck with him next year. I do feel he will be an handy person to bring on when we are winning late on in a game, something we should be doing a lot more next season, just killing time etc but he’s expensive for what he offers.Â
Popular Post Claridge Posted 18 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 18 May 2025 Reckon he has played better than most this season, do a good job in the championship  6
davieG Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 He looked knackered by half time didn’t bother to close anyone down who was more than a few feet away.Â
Popular Post brookfox Posted 18 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 18 May 2025 When the season post mortem begins, the records will show that Ayew wasn’t the reason we went down. Never excited to see him on the pitch, but more often than not he contributes something. 14
whoareyaaa Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Hopefully he is only used as a sub next season, would rather see Mav, Fatawu, Mcateer and Monga  he's done ok, but nothing amazing either 1
FoxinNotts Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 He should be kept for one reason, in the Championship. He holds the ball up well and then draws the foul, up the top of the pitch.  Bring him on at about 70mins, especially if we have a lead. It’ll work a treat. 1
00rawat Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 At the of the day his not as bad people make out to be,only think is annoying about him he loves to hit the deck almost every time, however DCR is by far worse then him and will defo struggle even in the champ, worse thing Is unlike ayew his on a three contract, and who the hell is taking this crap player ? who will probably be on stupid wages thanks to rudkin!!!
funkyrobot Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Tbf he was good today, playing more centrally behind a main striker seems to be his best role. 1
Popular Post BKLFox Posted 18 May 2025 Popular Post Posted 18 May 2025 I’ve said before he always looks shocked and angry about being subbed but today he also hardly acknowledged Monga as his replacement which royally p’s me off, a proper team playing professional would have been g’ing him up and giving him some encouraging words, not this 9ick.   6
CosbehFox Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 I hate saying it but there’s a use for him. He isn’t a player to be happy sitting on his arse not playing which is a winÂ
Soar Fox Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Played well today and looks better when he stays on his feet rather than always trying to buy a freekick
Nolucklcfc Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Genuinely don’t think he’s been that bad this season for the stick he’s got. 3
Foxin_Mad Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Tbf he could be very good in the championship bearing in mind most teams are doggo. Cov and Sunderland were 2 of the top 6 and both are comfortably more shite than us.Â
roblcfc84 Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 100% will contribute in the championship…think the criticism of him this season has been OTT, many more worse performers this season. BDR - fair enough!
UniFox21 Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 With an fast paced attacking 3 behind him, no reason he can't play a role as a hold-up man up topÂ
Number 6 Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 (edited) Think he'd be a useful squad player in the Champ to be honest. We'll potentially be losing a few senior members of the squad and don't think it would be bad having him around. That said, he may want away anyway. Edited 18 May 2025 by Number 6 1
Steve Earle Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 54 minutes ago, Ric Flair said: Played well today. Wasn’t there so will take your word for it Ric. There are many, many worse players than him in the Championship. If he wants to leave, no problem, but equally I’d have no problem with him being the experienced head among the forwards next season.  ’Course, that means forcing DCR out, however much it costs! 1
moore_94 Posted 18 May 2025 Author Posted 18 May 2025 Did make me laugh when he sprinted after a ball in the 2nd half, looked so uncomfortable for himÂ
jbflcfc Posted 18 May 2025 Posted 18 May 2025 Keep the big lump for the champo.  will do ok considering some of the shite in that league, I guess he’s probably one we will let go after though with no resell value at all😒
