Obviously an exciting talent but also comes across really well in that interview. Let’s hope he and the team continue to improve.

A couple of them talked about the new manager. I do believe that they just were not having Cooper and now they feel they've got a man leading the side who knows what he's doing.

No surprise, everyone in the press who spoke about Cooper, said he was such a nice bloke.

I just don't get it, to me he came across as the most negative, miserable git going.

I can't imagine what it would be like to be managed by him, he would sap the life out of anyone.

The team had more idea after 2 days of RVN compared to half a season under Cooper.

You can be a nice bloke but still come across like Cooper did. You can also be a nice bloke and a crap manager, like Cooper was.

With Van Nistelrooy already you can see he demands a lot and expects a certain level of performance and attitude. And he's not afraid to perhaps let it be known to the team that the standards need to improve constantly.

RVN seems a lot more pragmatic but determined, and with an actual structure or plan of what he wants from himself and the squad. When you have someone with a clear plan in place the players will respond favourably. It may not work all the time but if the players believe in you it's more likely to work. With Cooper there never seemed to be any strong plan or confidence in or from him.

After a spell going to know the league Billal is looking like the real deal now and will only get better. Imagine if we somehow manage to get Buonanotte signed permanently as well. We would then have a base of really good young attacking players. I liked the way RVP set up last night and the tenacity and intensity difference was very noticeable.
